That would be interesting to know. My VIN exceeds the total number of 240Zs made according to Johnnie's numbers. Does anyone know how this could be the case?

Your car beat my car off the line by 318 cars!

    Its a beauty!
  6. Last year I had an '83 280Zx turbo for awhile, and that car handled GREAT. It was a blast on exit ramps! If it wasn't for the automatic transmission, I would have kept that car, and sold my 350.
  7. Wow....thats a beautiful car. Price sounds reasonable to me.
  8. Sounds like fun. We had a cruise here about a month ago. I wished I would have entered my 240Z.....it would have been a nice relief from the multitudes of Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes (yawn...).
  9. I think its a DEAL! If I didn't just buy a 280, I'd definitely be interested.
  10. Same here. Zs-ondabrain's Z would be listed for $7,000- $8,000 around here.
  11. haha....good one!
  12. When I was a kid, I decided I HAD to have a 280ZX. Nothing else would do! My parents tried to talk me out of it but I would have none of it. I think it was the looks that did it.....the long hood, scooped headlights, and just the general image. To be honest I don't think I even knew what a 240Z was at the time. But when I got the ZX, I did some research and learned all about the heritage of the car and have been a Z fan ever since. I, too, go out to my garage sometimes to admire the lines of my 240Z. Like people have said, perfect from EVERY angle. You can't say that about too many cars. My 350Z, for example looks good from some angles....from other angles, uh....not so much. I have my 240 parked next to my MV Agusta sportbike.....in a beauty contest, it would be a tough call. Kinda like trying to choose between Marissa Miller and Jessica Alba....
  13. I have State Farm and pay around $90 a year....for full coverage!

I bought my carpet kit from MSA and have been satisfied with the purchase.

Guitar player here. I have a "fat" Strat (humbucker at bridge) which is my main axe, plus 2 regular Strats and a Tele. Play mostly classic rock.
  16. Very nice! I wonder if that's 905 red? Mine almost looks orange like that in the sunlight.
  17. Must be nice. I don't think I've seen another 240 besides mine in years. A few 280s....but no 240s. Thats the Midwest for you.....:disappoin
  18. Good luck in your quest. As vintage sports cars go, a ZX is not a bad choice. You're in the South, so hopefully you'll find a nice, rust-free example.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks like a nice, solid car.
  20. Wow! Nice car....
  21. 905 red Zs are the best!
  22. Looks like you got a good deal. Car looks solid.
  23. As far as I know, all L28s were fuel-injected.
  24. I meant the sheet metal itself.
