  1. Thanks everyone for their comments! Arne, I actually have carbon fiber bumpers that I've never installed but am planning on doing so now. They never mentioned the flex additive at the shop for the air dam. I'll definitely bring this up when I take the air dam in there. I'm planning on re-installing the air dam as soon as I get it back.
  2. After procrastinating for a couple years, I finally got my 240Z painted. Got the car back from the body shop yesterday and put some new wheels on her last night. They did an overall awesome job...except for some reason they didn't paint the front air dam so I'll have to take that in get it done. The color is 905 Red. I was leaning towards this color, then I saw pics of Arne's car and that was the final straw. Here are some pics: <img src="http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/2629/dsc01462od1.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/><br/> <img src="http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/9948/dsc01465uy6.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/><br/> <img src="http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3144/dsc01464ks8.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/><br/> <img src="http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9959/dsc01463tg7.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/><br/>
  3. I don't know if this is what you're looking for Manny, but I'll have some rims from a '73 for sale shortly....as soon as I get my car out of the bodyshop and get the new wheels put on (which should be early next week). These rims do have some wear and tear but decent condition. Sorry I don't have a close-ups of them but here is a pic of the car with these rims:

Wow.....nice Zs! The red one is beautiful....and I bet that grey one HAULS!
  5. In addition to my 240Z, I have an '04 350Z. A blast to drive and has been the most reliable car I've ever had. I wouldn't mind having a roadster, and maybe a 280ZX turbo....and of course a GTR if I could afford it.
  6. This thread reminds of something that happened a couple months ago. I was cruzin around in the 240Z and I passed this older guy- late 50s or so- out in his yard doing yard work and he looked up and admiringly checked-out the car. A lil later I was out in the 350Z and this same guy was still out there and this time he looked up at my car, frowned, and quickly turned away in disgust. I bet he muttered something like "damn ricer punk..." or similiar....
  7. Classic Mopars FTW!!!!
  8. Yep that is one of the best things about the 350!!! I'm not big on the new Mustangs either...theres about 3 billion on the road and they're not that good-looking IMO. I much rather have the 3Fiddy. BTW, I've had mine for almost four years and never heard it described as 'ugly' or 'uninspiring' until I got on this site. Oh well....I don't care....
  9. Will, good luck on fitting two ladies into your 240Z! I never said the 350Z was prettier than a 240Z....its not. Nissan could make Zs for another 1000 years and never top the original as far as beauty or charisma. That said, my 350 is a blast to own and drive and does get alot of attention. If folks on here don't like them....oh well...you don't have to like it I guess you're not paying for it... I didn't know there was such a contempt for the 350Z by the S30 community until I got on here....
  10. No problem!!!! My car is quite popular with twenty-something females.....don't really care if old men like it or not....

Welcome to the site! Any pics?
  12. Exactly! I have both also. However, I will give the 240Z the slight edge in style (nothing is purtier than an S30 IMO...)
  13. Well Carl, I have bought a 350....and have enjoyed driving it the last 3.5 years. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I thinks its far from ugly....not as beautiful as a 240Z....but still more attractive than most cars out there. I agree with Jeff's post that Nissan did a great job in bringing back the Z car.... and I'm glad its parked next to my 240 in the garage.
  14. I'm pretty comfortable in both Zs. The 240Z does have an amazing amount of room inside for such a small car...
  15. I'm 6'2" and have never had any problem fitting in my 350Z. It definitely has more headroom than my 240... As far as the G35, I always thought they were heavier, slower, more luxurious versions of the 350Z aimed more towards old people.
  16. I want a Challenger! Of course haven't seen one in person, but they look awesome in the pics....although a little heavy.
  17. I love my 3-Fiddy! I got the Nismo exhaust, suspension and bodykit plus JWT intake. Its fast, fun, good-looking and sounds awesome...and attracts TONS of attention- I've never had a car that got more compliments. And at 6'2", 205 pounds, I have no problem fitting in it.... and here she is:
  18. I sometimes call mine 'Christine' as she has a mind of her own, not unlike the '58 Plymouth in the movie...

I had a problem like that with my 240Z lately....she would run great for awhile and then start running like crap like not getting enough gas to the carbs. I thought it was the fuel pump but turned out to be the gas tank....apparently alot of crud had built up in there over the years. They had to pull the gas tank, clean it and resurface it, etc. Runs great now!
  20. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the board! Theres a wealth of information on the first gen. Zs on here and everyone's pretty friendly and helpful.

Z32s are nice cars....but I'd stick with the 280, you can't beat the charisma and distinctive good looks of the S30....

Nice Z31s indeed. Daddz, do you currently own all the Zs listed in your sig.? If so, I'm jealous!
  24. I agree that sounds like a great deal....thats about what I paid for my '73 and it has alot more miles and still has the crappy '73 carburator.

I don't know what it is but for some reason I prefer having a truck for a daily driver....even though they're not that economical and really not that good in snow (unless its a 4X4). Maybe it's just refreshing to have a DD where I'm high off the ground unlike the sports cars.
