Red dog makes a good point! After driving a dog slow boring pickup truck all week, I can't wait to get in one of the Zs (or bike).....that way they always seem fresh and exciting.....whereas if you drove them daily, even a sports car would seem mundane after awhile and you wouldn't appreciate them as much. Having an economical, boring car for a DD can be a good thing...

Well both of my Zs are basically weekend toys, I have a truck for a daily driver....but I live in Illinois. If I lived in Cali like you do, I would definitely consider having a Z for a daily driver since you have less crappy weather (and maybe keep the VW for when the weather is bad....). I say go for it!

I can relate! My 240 dropped the driveshaft about 3 weeks ago.....scared the daylights out of me....I thought both me AND the car were gonna die. Anyway, just had a new driveshaft put in and she runs about 1000X better! All the rattles, squeaks, vibrations, etc. are gone and she runs ALOT smoother. I love my Z again.

I just love the idea of driving a classic car that is so much more beautiful and distinctive than all the new cars on the road.

I'll admit the 350Z is not quite as good looking as an S30. What is? But I'll take it over the Z32 anyday....looking at a Z32 makes me yawn. BORING!

I have a Xenon front spoiler which I haven't had installed but I selected this because they look old school and won't make the car to front end heavy.

Was just watching Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke, and in the scene where they're cruzin down the highway in Cheech's '64 Chevy and smoking the joint made out of dog poop, they get passed by a green 240Z.

I can definitely see where you guys are coming from. I wished I would have spent more money up front and bought a nice Z like the one on this thread. My Z is driving me nuts.....she runs fine one day.....then runs like crap the next. I thought I was giving her a "treat" the other day by giving her higher octane gas instead of the usual 87 or 89, boy was that a mistake...she is running like TOTAL CRAP. Never thought gas would make that much difference. Anyway, thats a damn nice 280.....wonder what his reserve is....

Shouldn't there be a minimum IQ requirement to own a sports car?

Damned Illinois drivers! I swear this state has the worst drivers in the world...especially here in 'Springpatch'. Apparently 75% of the women in this town can't drive unless they're talking on a cell phone at the same time. And approximately 99% of the general population has no clue that the left lane is for passing only! Just the other day, I got stuck behind this lady going 5 below the speed limit in the left lane, I gestured her to get over and she gestured back...and then slowed down. When they finally did get over, they all looked over at me and frowned like I was the bad guy. Stupid people!!

$2,300. Not as good deal as I originally thought because the seller (bought on Ebay) wasn't exactly up-front about everything. That said, I still got a decent deal for the simple matter that the car has a solid body w/ minimal rust and is a strong runner....

Don't know about cars, but off-white is my favorite color for a Fender Stratocaster....
