  1. My seat belt shoulder strap comes out from the top of the strut tower. It comes out parallel to the ground and does not hit my neck at all and there is a plastic slide that set the tension on the take up reel. Here is a picture from the back. There are plastic covers on the take up reels. I thought all the 280's had the same setup.
  2. My car has something from the factory that bumps into the top take up tensioner. My wife wife uses this "Loopo Seatbelt Tension Adjuster" in her car and in my RX300. http://www.seatbelttensionadjuster.com/
  3. Pennsylvania is $ 0 if you have a "Classic" plate, when I got mine the car had to be 10 years old and out of production. I have paid nothing for registration fees on my car for 26 years. The cars need to be inspected for safety only, not emissions. Regular car registration is $36 with both safety and emission testing. Safety and emission test is usually around $75.
  4. I have Appliance wheels and got some form these guys. Masseys in OK (405)239-2010. Lugs are 12mm 1.25 with .55 long shaft. Got them about 3 years ago.

    Mud Guards

Darkwolf, my guards are not the ones in the picture but I have had them on my car for over 35 years. I put them on for one reason and that was to protect the paint, we used salt and gravel on the roads back in the 70's during the winter. My paint is perfect behind the wheel wells. I am thinking of getting the ones listed in post # 4, I think they would look better and more for the car by fitting into the lines of the car. I have since changed the tires to 205/70/14 Goodrich TA to fill the wheel well better. The old tires are 205/60/14. The first picture is the new tire and the second tire is the old Goodyears.
  6. I put 205 / 70 / 14 on mine. they are BF Goodrich Radial TA's.
  7. Mike, I started my cleaning over 30 years ago and used WD40 back then it can and has done some damage to the paint. thanks for the tip. I haven't do much cleaning on the painted area of late.
  8. Black Gold Man here are a couple pictures of my same spoiler. On the side pcs. there is at least one threaded stud that mounts inside on the top, this is very hard to get to and hard to get the nut on to. I used SS metal screws as you can see on the side and the top in the middle. I also painted the holes the SS screws screwed into and I also put a line calking all along the edges of the pieces to seal them. My spoiler has been on since 1979. Hope this helps.
  9. My 1976 all original 280 with many years of cleaning to remove the Ziebart undercoating, it was sprayed all over the inside of the engine bay. The engine was not removed for cleaning.
  10. I would be interested, I know of 4 other 240Z guys in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. We usually meet at the Vintage Grand Prix in July and also at the Mt. Lebanon car cruse.
  11. Here is the latest, I purchased the pieces from black dragon auto. Here is the before and after pictures. I used a black weather strip adhesive to attach them. This took only 15 minutes to do. I will do the passenger side later when it gets nicer out.
  12. Here are a couple of picts I did this weekend, mine have never been off, so original on a 76.
  13. I still have one on my original spare, not as early but a 76.
