  1. My wheel is the same color on both sides.
  2. Here is a picture of mine 11/75 for a 76Z. Mine are located on the passenger side.
  3. Here are a couple pictures of mine from 11/75, not sure if they are the same as yours. Also this the original spare tire form my car. It was only on the car for about a week back in 76.
  4. Use the search function type in "Plastic paint" (red Bar at top) a bunch will come up.
  5. Yea, I feel you pain, I drove my car from Pittsburgh to Cleveland in 08 in the poring rain and just hosed off and dried the car for the judging and they nicked me for having dirt on me exhaust pipe. A lot of people were complaining about the wet and mud that day and the points taken off. I also had points taken off for scratches on the glove compartment key hole. I am the original owner and the key has never been in the lock so how did it get scratched up. Still lost 2 points for that. The judges must have been real tough out there, I scored something like 275 and most of my points were from the engine area. My interior had dust in all the vents. Something like 4 points for that. I think the scoring was a little easier in Cleveland. Anyway learned a lot, you can never be too clean.
  6. The floors on the 75 and 76 were like the 240's, low and had access to the little compartments behind the seats. The 77 and 78 are the ones with the raised deck. Here is a picture with the spare in the well on my 76. You could always change the back to a stepped shelf with a low area in the front and get the doors from an earlier 75 or 76 so you have the tool boxes.
  7. I have a sample of Velcro called "Wall Side" it's for hanging picture frames to walls. It's very thin. You can try to find it a craft stores.
  8. They look great, I like the painted webs. Look after the center caps they are precious and very hard to fine, even the rusted ones. I have been looking for them for 10 years and found only one.
  9. If you look at the OP garage and look at the car he has alloy wheels from a later model Z or ZX.
  10. I have a 280 and it is not lowered but I put 205/70/14 on the Appliance wheels and no problems and I like the look. Here is a thread. Here, look at 4th post.
  11. Little hint have the glass removed for final paint, I did not many years ago and wish I had. Will come out much better in the long run. FWIW Michael
  12. How about the little chrome cap on the top of the arm rest in the 280's? It is plastic with chrome over it.
  13. On picture #8 sure looks like 113 Metallic Green was the original color, very similar to my 302 Green Leaf Metallic. Mine has a black interior though. Go with the green, not too many around.
  14. Look to post #2 and reread #3 and #4 from Blue this might be a solution go to a bigger diameter master. Just a thought.
  15. Try here http://www.zhome.com/ under Datsun History - Production 1969 to 73.
  16. Different wheel see this thread. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread45609.html These are Appliance wheels, would love to have the centers for my self, they are very hard to find in good condition.
  17. Thanks for the advice, I did use the washer from the old one, no leak. Clutch only has 3K mile on it. everything's all good, car is away for the winter.
  18. Here is a comparison engine shot of both. Look at the fuel rails and throttle linkage.
  19. The bridge is in Mingo Creek Park just south of Finleyville south of Pittsburgh proper on Rt 88. The road in is just like the one the car is setting on. thanks for all the comments. Always wanted to enter the car on a photography show.
  20. I belong to a tri-state professional photography group and I entered an image of me car in the show and received a blue ribbon. the title of the image is " Benezer with a Z". thanks for looking.
  21. I have copies of 69, 70, 71 both early and later, 72 both early and later, 73, 74, (NO 75) 76, and 77. All are slightly different in look and color and size. Some I have already completed all the work on and some not. If any one is interested let me know, PM me. I usually laminate them so the can be put under the wiper and not get damaged at shows. People really like to see them and check out the listed price. Michael
  22. Taz, I have copies of three different ones for 1972. Look at the vin number for the one closest to your car. I can Photoshop one for you. You will need to get the address for the car company and the port of entry. PM me and we can discuss. Michael
  23. Added the Datsun badge to the back of the spoiler. The Datsun name has not been on my car for 32 years. It was removed when I added the spoiler, now people can see it is a Datsun.
  24. I am looking for the original green 76 - 280 4 speed pattern like the one pictured. I know it's different that the ones already shown, still looking though.
  25. Here are the old parts next to the new parts and the equipment to repair and do the work.
