  2. Did some work on the headlight housing, cleaned, painted and plated the bolts. Broke one of the plastic adjuster and found new ones on internet and a local supplier here. I have 24 left from the box of 25, if any one need any let me know.

  4. I put 205/70/14 Ta's on mine all around because I wanted to rotate the tires when the backs start to wear. I also wanted to make the wheel and tires to look better in the wells. My car is all stock for the suspension.
  5. Great looking green, not too many around. That color is getting more popular. My car is the same color and was repainted in 1980. Also welcome.
  6. The vin number does not really tell you anything but the order the car was built in, Kind of. Your can look at this site to get some info. http://www.editgrid.com/user/mlwilliams/Z_Car_Registry Or this site for some info. http://zhome.com/ Other will chime in and give you more info. if you ask something specific.
  7. Here are pictures of mine in a 76, I don't have the measurements, hope this helps. speakers are 6x9.
  8. Here is mine from a 76. Might me the same.
  9. I really like 302 Leif Green Metallic. I think it is one of rarest colors and it is a 76 original color. it's very close to 113 green.
  10. Did the 78 come with an am/fm cassette like they say? "The stereo am/fm cassette is also original and working. " from add. Also look at the head liner, it look like it is fall down over the driver side.
  11. Those are great and fall is the greatest time to shoot, not too hot and nice clouds in the sky usually around here.
  12. Saturday the 12 was a beautiful day here in the Burg. so I decided to get the car out for one last time this fall/winter, I had already put it away for the winter. I took it for a spin to a cemetery (Homewood) to take some fall foliage and grave stone pictures with the car. The cemetery has some very impressive and old grave sites. The images that are in B&W were taken with a converted D60 Canon camera to infrared. Except Color - 007 (last one) it was converted to B&W from color. Hope you all like.
  13. I found a wallet in the middle of the street out front of a local public golf course while I was running. I saw a car run over it and it flipped open. I picked it up and it belonged to a Pittsburgh city policeman. I called the station and found what office area he was out of and contacted him. He came over to my work to pick it up and was so glad to get it back because his badge was in it. He left and came back 5 minutes later and gave me a potted plant as a reward. He explained to that he was sure that all the money would be missing and it wasn't. He also gave one of his cards and wrote on it "get out of jail free" and explained if I ever had a problem with the city police to call him. I never had to use it.
  14. There is a plate attached to the drivers side door latch area that should have the build date (month/year). That will also give your the cars Vin number.
  15. I have a 76 and it appraised for insurance purposes at $18,500. I am the original owner and it is all original except for the obvious added items that are period correct. I don't know if it has hurt or helped the value. It's my car and it's the way I made it and I like it that way, so fix yours the way you want it and keep it clean.
  16. ZCurves, I have one for 76, I have not seen one for 78, not sure what it looks like. I have the Emission, Coolant and Paint like these. The emissions are gold and the paint (your paint number) and coolant are silver. I can get those for you with sticky on back or with a very thin magnet so they are removable.
  17. CW240Z here is one form Dec. of 72 I have on file.
  18. Sadly I took the battery out of the car for a long winters nap. The weather in Pittsburgh this time of year is so unpredictable I don't see any good weekends left. Hopefully I can get her out sometime in late March.
  19. I can not, but I am sure that their is someone with a 72 that can.
  20. Matt, where are you exactly in Pittsburgh, I am in the south hills South Park area. Would love to add you to the Z group[ we have, If I can get my dead computer back to life.

  21. That's normal, it's a from of an anti stall device. It's was designed to help with down shifts. Others will tell you the technical name and reason, so not a problem.
  22. Third from left I assume is a 280Z, needs the original bumper.
  23. Michael, thanks for the dimensions on the window sticker. Sorry about the year being wrong, I was a little excited to see how close our cars are. I used a white polishing block with a drill and polishing pad. Was pretty easy, the cover came off the car real easy.
