  1. For me being in the rust belt it's having something that is very rear. I love the looks and the questions like what is that? Michael
  2. Arne, the ones in your picture look like Appliance to me. I have the same ones if they are appliance. If you don't mind telling me where you got the center caps. Mine are rusted. thanks Mike
  3. I am a professional photographer and I have the 20D, I also have the 5D because I wanted the the larger sensor. If I were to replace my 20D I would get the 30D. It is newer technology and the larger lcd on the back is great. I would get the 17 - 85 IS lens. I have that one and it never comes off the 20D I have. Michael
  4. I got mine for $7500 in Pittsburgh in February 1976, I am the original owner. Modifications are: Rear window louvers in 1978 - about $100 Front air dam installed in 1978 - about $150 Rear spoiler installed in 1979 - about $150 New front stock finders and painted in 1979-80 the original color 302 green - about $1000 New covers and foam for seats in 2005 - about $150 Rear deck carpet in 2005 - about $ 75 Everything else is stock and are original parts. The car has 49K miles I use about on all the prices because I am not really sure of the prices. I did do some minor cosmetic changes in paint color to the grill and back tail light panel area, they are painted a gold color, think it compliments the green very well. Michael
  5. Mine was built on 11/75 and is HLS30 281114. I am the original owner, I purchased the car in Pittsburgh, PA on 2/6/1976. All original with some added items like the front air dam, Rear spoiler and louvers all added before the car was 5 years old. Michael
  6. I have the same year, you will have lits of fun with the car. I noticed that your mirrors are the same as mine, they are not the original but were probably put on by the dealer. I removed mine about 20 years ago and had one hell of a time getting replacements for mine, I wanted the car look like it did when I purchased it in 76. Just some advice keep them. Have fun with the car this summer. Michael
  7. I was just 23 when I got my 1976 280 and I still have it, and I don't plan on ever selling it.
  8. Thanks all, I am glad I came across this site. It looks like there is a lot of good info about the car. Here in Pittsburgh there are not a lot of Z because of the winter weather and the road conditions. My car has been garage kept for over 25 years and not driven except on the weekends. As for the wheels and tires I am not sure what I will do. The tires have flat spots from setting so long in one place, and it does give a rough ride at higher speeds. again thanks for the welcome. Michael
  9. The tires are at least 15 years old, they are showing some cracking in the side wall. I want to get new wheels, want to go to 16 in. then I will get new tires. Michael
  10. Mike here are some of the picts that were taken about 2 years ago. Michael
  11. I want to post some picts., cant figure our how. The car has had the front finders replaced 25 years ago and was repainted then as well. Replaced the seat covers 4 years ago, they just ripped at the seams. Everything else is stock.
  12. Just joined and I am the original owner of a 1976 - 280Z, I puechased it new in Pittsburgh on Febuary 7 1976. The car has 42K miles and I only drive it in the summers. I will have some pictures up soon. Michael
