  1. Come one, come all
  2. Nope, when I say Z's I mean Nissan z's(not BMW Z4) of all years, I know what you mean, a lot of people don't recognize the lineage of the Z's. They only recognize what's new and cool. Not me. 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX and 350Z, Datsun or Nissan. I don't care if your engine is and L24, Turbo L28, or a VQ35HR. As long as it's a Nissan Z. After all they're all Z's and Nissans. As for the G35 and/or G37, i'm not sure, But my guess is all Infiniti G's are welcome. I don't have much experience in the infiniti side of things. Hope to see you there.

  4. Hello there! It's been a while since i've been on here. I no longer have my '73 240Z, I had to get rid of her, it was just too much money for my budget. I couldn't giver her what she needed, so I sold her to a restorer. Anyways, I'm interested in going for one of these drives or meets, but I now have a 2007 350Z. Can I meet up still? Or am I banned because it's a "new" Z. haha, yeah! hit me up! i'm really interested in meeting other Z heads. See ya!

That is a great story, I hope I someday reconnect with my zed. You are a heck of a story teller, I don't think anyone could have said it better.

The only music I ever listened to in my zed was classic rock. Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and of course Pink Floyd, anything along those lines. Music from the Z's time.
  7. I agree with Arne and e-racer, I had a similar problem and it was the Input shaft bearing, I got it replaced and there, the noise is gone. I would get that checked first.
  8. Haha, this is too funny... sblake01, yes it did take a severe left turn and crashed... hahaha! I would have just payed for it, kharma is a b**ch. I wouldn't want to risk it. How expensive could it have come out too. Come on.

Thanks for the kind words. I will stick around here, maybe I can go to some california z shows and see some of you guys there. My plans are to get another, maybe in two years or so... I learned a lot from buying this one... now I know what to look for.

Today I sold my zed, although it was something that had to be done, It hurt to see it being driven away... Hopefully i'll buy another one later in life. Thanks to everyone from Classiczcars.com if it wasn't for all the information, this car would have not been running. Thank You, Albert

A similar was happening to me, The Fuel tank needed to be refinished, it was really dirty inside. I have also had that problem recently, It turns out my car needed higher octane gasoline. Give it a shot see if the higher octane works for you.
  12. Damn, what an awesome story, I know these vehicles are important, but wow...
  13. Is this for the front or rear? I have one for the rear that I pulled of a 75 280Z. I'll post some pictures if that is what you need.

I was looking at the MSA carb rebuild kits, they have one for '70-'71, one for '72 and another for '73. My car is a '73 but the carbs are round-tops so the '73 rebuild kit is out of the question. The question is How do I know what carbs I have 70-71 or 72 Carbs? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Albert

Dang, I get my car on the road again after the new suspension and the new tranny, a day later my carbs go out... Both of them! One doesn't open, and the other the floater that regulates the fuel that comes in, broke. This never ends, oh well. Plenty of good times fixing this thing, but I just want this to end. I hope this is one of the last major repairs. Somehow I doubt that. Cheers! Albert
  22. Yeah, I know. All the parts are usually very inexpensive. I had my head rebuilt for $75, I bought my Aisin Clutch for $80. These guys know where to buy the parts for a very good price.
  23. The cost for the rebuild was $200.
  24. I don't know if I would have the patience to do it myself. Or else I would give it a shot. Do you know where I can get a FSM? Besides e-bay.
  25. My dad in-law took my transmission down to his buddys shop down the street. This friend of his works on automatics, since he couldn't rebuild it himself he took it to his friends(I know confusing). In the end my transmission ended up in Compton, CA. Good thing I didn't have to go there:) The work was done very fast and painless. I took it saturday afternoon, and I had it back on monday morning. Anyways the place that did the rebuilding was, CRUZ & CRUZ 820 S. Washington Ave. Compton, CA 90221 The number is (562)824-1118 I hope that helps, Albert
