Unable to place my ads.
^ I was on a borrowed internet connection. Whenever I attempted to upload pics, the connection would fail. Again, I apologize. I am quitting the Z biz, and figured I could help a few people out, Matt.

Unable to place my ads.
The rims are gone, however if anyone is still wondering, I still have a complete '78 motor that is FREE to whoever wants it. The seals are bad, 150psi in all holes, but it smokes after an idle. Motor is in long block form with all acc's in a box. Sorry, I will not ship. I will not bump this thread anymore. I don't want to be pushy or rude. Please PM if interested.

Unable to place my ads.
For some reason, I am unable to complete the process of placing an ad for some stuff I have. I am on a weak "borrowed" internet connection so that may be the reason. I will place the ads when possible. Until then...I apologize to the flamers. Items in question: (1) complete L28 from a '78- smokes blue FREE come and get it before I toss it. All manifolds included (removed), all brackets, acc's etc. I can post pics, but I'm sure you all know what a Z engine looks like. (4) Ansen Automotive Engineering Sprint type 14" wheels. Good cond, not bent. See pic below. More pics available. I was given these about ten years ago, so no fitment guarantees. These are also FREE All items are located in Lake Elsinore, CA. Act now, I will throw this stuff away in one week. PM me

Black pearl mirrors??
Mirrors alone worth $200? If I didn't have a conscience, I would part out my car. I have it advertised locally for sale as a complete car and will get a fraction of what I could if I were parting it out.

so if you could do ANYTHING to your Z...
I'd register it. With my work taking up most of my time, there's little left to find the motivation to get this car on the road. Smog laws and 29 year old parts are sure making this project less and less exciting. :disappoin:disappoin:disappoin

Just bought #331 and two parts cars
Mike, I admire your passion for, and dedication to the early Z's. If you are anything like me, you probably want to keep and restore all of them. These choises are very difficult to make (to state the obvious). I have not come in contact with, or even seen a low VIN Z in person (lower than #10,000). To own one, let alone a few, must be awesome. Not much to add to your thread, but you definately have my props!

Lookat What I did!
KDMatt, I noticed in your initial thread that you purchased the connectors as well. I have not located these yet. Are they from CSK too? or Mr. Injector? I will search the forums too. I have to tell you guys, compared to the other Z car forums, the demeanor here is very mature and professional. Here, there are far fewer flamethrowers, and omnipotent administrators.

Lookat What I did!
I found the link you are referring to and I will give it a try. This is valuable info. Thanks for the support and the valuable responses -public and private, Matt

Lookat What I did!
My main reason for asking was that the small hoses appear to be permanently attached to the injector at the base. Is this hose removable? Mine leak.

Lookat What I did!
KDmatt, I am looking to replace the injectors on my Z. Unfortunately, the cheapest new ones I have found are $75 ea. These were @ NAPA. Would you mind sharing with us where you found yours and how much $. In your initial post, you mention checker (Kragen out here). I will check their website. Matt

Project BPE
Thanks for the tip Zbane. I thought of that too after reviewing the day's events. The gas that was drained from the tank was yellow/ orange and had a foul odor. I used a new plastic tub as a recepticle so I could examine the contents. I could see no solids in the old gas. I have an extensive list of parts I plan to replace, and your suggestions are on the list:). Matt.

Project BPE
Aside from having the ugliest engine bay on the board, I noticed today that the motor is down on power. I'm thinking that it has to do with either a vacum leak, incorrect ign timing, or a problem with the vacum advance. While sitting still, the engime revs up just fine, but when I attempt to run the car under load with heavy throttle, it lacks the power it once had. All cylinders are firing, there is no popping, stumbling, or hesitation. I'll see what answers a search gives me.
