Center console paint
I got mine at "Baxter's Auto", so some auto parts places carry it. You can also go to SEM's website http://www.sem.ws/ and see who has it, but I know from personal experience that the list is not complete and there more places that carry it than are listed there (I found that out after a 90 minute RT to the place listed only to run across it at the Baxter's Auto 5 minutes from my house).

Hello all,, comin over from HybridZ..looking for opinions
My 2 cents...sell the car to someone who wants a stocker or keep it and enjoy it yourself. It will be worth more unmolested. If you want to to do a V8, shop around and find someone's project that they lost interest in. Much cheaper than starting from scratch. In the end it is your choice and no matter what you do, it will be the right thing...for you.

Thanks...that is already done...this is an in-progress picture a week ago. I did not even clean off the finger prints...The seat heaters are working tho as are the power seats and the stereo/GPS/bluetooth/video screen.... There is a lot more to do, but I am shooting for the end of March meeting in Seattle.

Center console paint
I just did mine with the same paint used to paint the dash...SEM Trim Black. I think it turned out great. I modified my console better fit the 5 speed and I fixed some cracks with a simple 2 part epoxy then filled the cracks and any nicks with body filler, sanded it smooth and shot it with 3 light coats of the SEM product.

Spare Tire hold-down T-Bolt thread pitch
The reason I was looking for one was to use as a hold down for the spare tire cover. We deleted the spare tire and that area now holds the sub woofer for the stereo. We made a 3/4" MFD top and it is held in place by the spare tire hold down. We cut the top off of the hold down screw and welded a large machine head allen bolt to the top, countersunk the MFD top and it all fits tight and the head is below the surface of the MFD. If we need to get in there for any reason, one bolt and it is off.

I think I have the caps that have the sensor wires for fluid level if you need them. They are from a 78. Send me a PM if I can help.

I seen the General Lee today !
You are correct it was a 1969... LEE 1,[1] was a 2nd unit car with a full roll-cage. Originally a 383 V8-powered 1969 Charger equipped with air conditioning(A/C), gold body with tan interior, 3 speaker dash, and chrome rocker trim. The car is the only General Lee to have appeared in every episode. After the car had run its course, it was retired to a junkyard in Georgia, but later bought and restored. "LEE 2" was also a 2nd unit car with a full roll-cage and black interior. "LEE 3" was the closeup car. This car is the one seen in early promos with the doors open and no numbers on the doors. This car was a Charger R/T SE. It was powered by a 440 Magnum V8 and also had A/C with power windows.

Spare Tire hold-down T-Bolt thread pitch
I tired to get a bolt that same pitch from the local True-value. I have to say, I did not understand what they told my son, but it was basically that it is a VERY unique pitch and they had no source for it. Something about a "square pitch" thread.

My 260Z painted and assembled...finally!
That is a really amazing before and after. I started with a shell, but I don't think I would have taken that one on. Good for you to see the potential. You should get some kind of award for the effort. You have to carry the before pictures around with you.

rack and pinion-name that part?
How does a rack get hot? I am not sure of the purpose. Mine is broken too and I have been looking for a year with no luck. The size of the reservoir is not big enough to make any difference compared to the space in the rack IMO. I am going with the grease nipple fitting and calling it a day.

I seen the General Lee today !
I have heard over 300 were built and destroyed during that show's run, so some were 1969s, but no 1970s were used. When the show closed a friend of mine bought one of the like 20 cars they had left over. I drove it and it was kind of a POS really. The "roll cage" was built out of exhaust tube. The interior was tan, but painted over with a kind of brown. The car was originally gold. I was surprised that the flag and all the numbers were painted on, not decals as I would have expected. The doors and windows worked. His was in fact a 1969 car, although the G.L. was a 1968. It had a 383 mag motor and an auto. He owned the car for about a year and then sold it to a guy in Utah. It was fun to run around in and it always got looks and comments (not all of them kind). The thing that sticks out most was it was a huge car and handled like a tank.

If you build it, they will die.

Hugger Orange 240z
I had my Z "Hemi Orange" in the 80s. I ended up painting the hood and cowl flat black just to tone it down. It was too bright for my tastes, but I kept it that way for several years and got a lot of compliments on it. If I were to do an orange, it would be the stock color. Later I painted it "Guards Red" which I liked a lot. Today it is silver (I got it back this color – Nissan 350Z liquid Aluminum). It was funny, when we stripped the door jams it was like one of those multi-color jaw breakers...primer, butterscotch, primer, black, primer, orange, primer, red, primer, silver. My son was like WTF??????

Stock 78 Shifter Knob
I have one from a Black Pearl...It looks like the one in the picture above. It is in pretty good condition...I will sell it for $115.00 and I will pay the shipping... Seriously, I would like to find a blue one...so I would be willing to part with this one if you really need it. It is not perfect, but it is pretty darn good. I would be willing to deal. If you want to make me an offer...PM me

Painting / Spraying Question
You can also see if the local paint supplier will put this paint into a rattle can for you. They can do it for the paint they sell, so they might be willing to do for your paint.
