We're actually getting the gas tank put back on the outside. The fumes are too much to deal with. It was done really, really well but it still fumes for about ten minutes after pumping and gives me a horrible headache.

Yes it is. But it's being taken out and replaced with a new one.

Shauna is a show car and has won several trophies. She's been sitting for awhile so my dad and I are fixing her up and were wondering about shows in the Northern California area. I'd love to get her back out there but I've been talking to people and a lot of them are saying most main shows are American made only... no imports.

I know how lucky I am. She's amazing.

Oh this car is my baby. I get mad when people get near it. I freak out about finger prints and go down and say good morning to her everyday I can. It's almost unhealthy. As for my first drive... after I got over the initial fright it was heaven. Literally, heaven. I've had her for 3 weeks and I'm still in shock about the whole thing. I think I'd be able to give you a better description of my feelings when I get her out of the shop and it really settles in that this is my car...my baby. Plus, the carbs were so shot I was afraid to drive her. It's going to be so much more amazing when she's all fixed up and ready to go.

Yeah DEF not in the literal sense. When I get her out of the shop maybe we can meet up and you can show me some things about Zs.

Yeah we just bought her a few weeks ago. Finally got behind the wheel of my dream car. I'll be able to tell you more about her in a week when she gets out of the shop. I'm having a lot of work done on her right now. The carbs and distributor were shot and there's a long list of tiny problems that need to be taken care of. I've had her about 3 weeks and I can't even drive her. It's horribly depressing.

Actually it's a pretty sad story. The 240z has been my favorite car visually since I was about 5 when my dad owned one. I wasn't lucky enough to own one until very recently when my dad bought her for me as a 21st birthday present. He's always been into cars and I've payed pretty close attention. I can spot out cars on the road and tell you the make, model and the year (or pretty close to it) but I still know almost nothing about engines. She's a learning experiance for me but sadly enough it's one of those "daddy bought it and I got it" situations.

Yeah the pipes are actually a big problem. They're too close to the ground and hit even on the smallest bumps. So we're forced to raise her a couple inches.

Just a quick intro. My name is Jen and I own a 1972 240z named Shauna. Here are some photos of her: <img src="http://a604.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/46/l_10ce66730e91972ab57511f4e00ad3e3.jpg"> <img src="http://a88.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/51/l_e0a20b7f030acf3d6deef7dd446a1cef.jpg"> <img src="http://a533.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/46/l_bad2c8a5b455a5ccce973377a395a03c.jpg">
