Right inside fender
Mostly hand sanding the engine bay down to at least the Nissan gray primer and in high spots or rusty spots down to shiny bare metal. Should I have blasted it???

Engine paint From Classic Datsun Motorsports
My engine just got sprayed. It looks totally different depending on the lighting. Took several shots with and without flash on the camera. I had a couple of shop lights on it. Sitting next to it, it looks between the two colors, closer to the without flash shot (darker). I put a stock short oil filter for reference. With Flash. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=32904&ppuser=14083 Without flash http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=32905&ppuser=14083

Engine Block Paint
Took a few snaps of the block paint job with and without a flash. Looks very blue when the flash is on.

Eibach + KYB GR-2 = trouble?
I wouldn't be surprised if most cars replacing nearly 40 year old springs, insulators and spacers with Eibach springs and Nissan insulators/spacers had the ride height raised, not lowered. Might be a good poll question for the forum.

Brake line nuts.
Anybody estimated tool + lines + nuts. I'm in the process of considering polishing existing lines (with 40 year old nuts with usual vice grip gouges) or replacing all fuel/brake lines with new. I figure fuel lines are larger versions of the brake lines with different flare tooling.

The pedal bracket connects to the firewall and the steering column connects to the pedal bracket (which connects to the thigh bone...). Hallelujah!

4:11 vs 3:90 diff which one better on street n freeway?
I have a 3.9 in the back of a mostly stock L24. Had to go with a five speed eventually. Bought a $50.00 tranny off a nissan truck. Clunky 4th to 5th shift, but otherwise great. I think it was at 4000 RPM at 65 mph with the 4 speed. Love the 3.9 R200!!!

stub axle removal +
As soon as they start clunking, I pull them out. Waiting till they blow out and shoot an axle sounds bad bad bad

What is this valve ?
Another thing to check is the Oxegen sensor line being grounded out. That will make it run super rich. Found that out once the hard hard way... I figured it out by reading one of the old Bosche fuel injection books and borrowing an oscilloscope. It was a wiring problem... The O2 sensor is typically braided coax cable..

Car looks like a tethered crazed animal trying to jump out at you from the live oak trees. Like this snap a bit better, more in focus. A bit of glean off the POR.

Hauling off rolling chassis to Z-Clinic for total body overhaul. You can tell why paint code 113 is quite the camouflage color in Texas. Turn your lights on in daylight! I've been doing it since the 80's.
