Thanks for the comments............just goes to show 2+2's aint all bad :laugh: Still have the interior to sort out, I'll do that during the winter months, I'll enjoy driving her fo the rest of the winter

Now I know alot of people hate 2+2's, I'm one of very few who like the lines of a 2+2, Anyway got the car last year. it came in from austrailia the year before, I drove it for a couple of months when I got it but became bored with it so decided to do some work. I dont a full l28 engine rebuild, with stage 4 cam, 6-1 header,and triple dellortos, and alot of bodywork, Although the car was rust free when I got it. How I got the car

Thanks for that WingZro, but that also turned up nothing, Ive decided to take a different route now, going to skim the p90a head 0.080" and use tower shims with flat top pistins, anyone know what CR this will give me? Thanks, Jay

Ok I've tried all the above, the only one who has the gasket is headgasket.com..............I then gave my address which is Ireland and never heard back from them!!!! Im really stuck for one so if anyone knows any other places ide really appreciate it. Thanks, Jay

MSA Twice pipes
Sounds cool, Im building a l28 motor at the moment with stage 4 cam and triple dellorto's........thinking strongly about getting this exhaust system..........does the back box mount vertically or horizontal?......like is one pipe over the other or side by side?

Hi All, Just been search the site and google, Im looking for a 1mm head gasket, The only one I could find was the one MSA do which is a Kameari one...way too expensive, Ive been looking a felpro stockist but cant seem to find any that have a 1mm head gasket for a l28, If anyone had a 1mm head gasket could they please tell me where they purchased them, Thanks, Jay

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what compression ratio ide have with the following setup f54 block, 86.1 flat tops, p90 shaved 0.030 and 1mm head gasket. Also if someone could post a link to one of the calculators it would be great, Thanks, Jay

petrol coming out of carb
Ok wellI never thought of checking the plugs but there is only about 100 miles on them so cant see it being them, but I will check them tomorrow, I took the top of the carb today and the floats seem ok........Its just happening on one side of the carb, like the petrol is being blown out of the carb instead of being sucked into the intake........... Jay

Hi all Started the car today.......and noticed it was missing, so popped the bonnet and there is petrol coming out of one of the air horns (triple dellortos) I never even seen the inside of one of these carbs so does anyone know what the problem would be? Thanks, Jay

No its a p90a head with solid lifters, I understand the UK spec p90a heads came with solid lifters, it definetly has solid lifters and say's p90a on the head........ Im from Ireland , so thats how I cam to have the Uk spec motor.. Jay

thanks for the replys guys, My p90a head has solid lifters, think its a UK spec motor, also has the dished pistons...........I was going to use the E88 head as I was told that the CR would be too low using the p90a head on an NA motor. Can anyone recomend anywhere to get flat tops? Ill measure the head tomorrow to see what thickness is it. Ive a stage 4 cam set on the way for the E88 head so hope I chose the right one to use!!
