  1. Hardly a skill, just a lucky contact in Japan, and even luckier to have Alan T aka Hs-30 on hand for advise and opinions. Oh and the other bit that you will need, bloody deep pockets!! The Japanese value the s30 very highly, and rightly so,and it's reflected in the prices.
  2. Jk you have a pm.
  3. Jk, Very shrewd move on the samuri over my old car. I'm not sure why he priced it so high and why he took the polished wolf race wheels that looked so nice off them. I rang Gwyn when he was selling the 260 and was really keen to buy but it just wasnt the right time really with space etc. Not sure how many more ironics we're allowed to have but i 'may' pm over the next few weeks with some more news!!
  4. Sorry for the lack of updates. Side tracked with other things. I'm now keeping the special bits to one side for another project and hope to have my white car back from france sometime next month. It will be finished to total factory euro spec now. L24 ,steel wheels etc etc. Reason?? All my bits pointed towards a more racey project geared towards a z432 look. Maybe a stripped out z432-r Suzuka 1000km tribute project. Nothing comparable to Alan's (hs-30) z432-r replica (thats just diffrent class) but possibly using the o.e color scheme 918 orange matt hood and some light weight panels etc. I will post pics up when my white zed arrives. I felt a bit embarrassed after a lot hype with my posts on this build. But that's the choice I've made. Right or wrong, time will tell.
  5. Hi jk240, Thanks for the kind words. Simple reason for the thread here rather than uk is the fact that not many people seem bothered about anything zed related if it's not uk derived. In fact I sometimes feel that most uk owners think that their datsun was built in Sunderland with the other Nissan models. And the forums are more constructive and appreciated by members on this site. Just a bit more civilised. We're not far from each other so hope to see you soon. Ironically I was just reading an old classic car magazine today with a lovely article on your car when Gwyn jones owned it. So glad you changed the front spoiler from what he had. What was he thinking !!!

Hi guys, anyone one guide me in the right direction on obtaining either a pair or just one period late 60's or early 70's race harness? Something similar to these. Just want something more in keeping with the era than most harnesses out there. Doesn't have to be of a Japanese car specifically either.
  7. i know 'Kats' tried a few years back and had some joy. i'm hoping i can source a few from spare wheels to make a set. thanks
  8. Hi, So far all you guys have been great on contacts/suggestions for hard to get bits. Well here's another. Bridgestone super speed 175 sr14 tyres. If anyone has or knows please reply. I have some very nice hard to get stuff to trade or will buy outright. Even it's just one. Cheers Rahail
  9. Thanks for all the info. It would be very cool indeed if the debut show car reared it's not so ugly head!!
  10. Oops, missed that thread on the search engine Alan. Nice thread, lovely info and pictures. Were the bridgestone tyres fitted as standard from the factory? Also it looks to sitting a bit taller than normal, did they tweek the spring set up during production or is just the angles of photo shots? Sorry last question, any ideas what/where this debut z432 resides or indeed if it survived? thanks
  11. Hi people, I was just wondering what info and pictures were available of the '69 Tokyo show in which the z432 made it's debut. for example any claims of what orders/purchases were made that day? and general response and write ups to the z432 from the show. was it the star or upstaged by another? any archive pictures would be great. thanks in advance
  12. thanks guys. some very realistic options presented. i've sent a few pm's to some of the posts. lets see what happens. very much appreciated.
  13. The title says it all. Any ideas?? thanks in advance.
  14. The tacho was sent to australia for its facelift. A lot of headache, expense and hassle to be honest with you. Thanks
  15. Marty, My wheels are purely aftermarket of around that period. The works wheels I think were only in 14 x 7 and can be recognised in design with cut outs in the spoke area. There was a run of the works style wheel in magnesium here in the u.k which ian (on the post above yours) has on his car. Sadly currently no longer available.
