hi guys. i was wondering what options/upgrades has anyone fitted regarding seat belts? MSA have a three point system for sale. looking at the pic though it looks like it may have issues with the seat sliding back. anyone had one fitted or any advise on this issue?

i like yellow on it's own. or slap a carbon bonnet on. coool. :classic:

15 x7 needs to 4 offset. tyre size either will do.

mr dizeard my friend. your color choice so far (including jnr spice orange) is top notch. in my opinion white,lime,orange and 920 gold are right up there in terms of period colors. well done. i'm not jealous!:devious::devious:

hi guys. well my prediction was as expected. the answer to my query. 'yes that's how they are'. so if your looking at these carbon fibre bumpers purely from a cosmetic point of view like me. then don't.!! :angry:

i hope so too. it will be the oversized packing and shipping to u.k which may shed a different light. maybe? should wait really before putting my negative head on!!

thanks for the input guys. speaking to probably one of the only owners of c/f bumpers here in u.k ,on my quality issue, he told me that carbon fibre products from MSA (he also has a c/f bonnet fitted as well) are a little so so. anyway let's see what the outcome is on the situation. i'll keep you upto date when i get a response.

hi guys. well i've just recieved my carbon fibre bumpers fron MSA through my dealer in u.k. at first i thought they were scratches but on closer inspection it's the weave of the carbon fibre stretched on each corner of the front bumper. the back bumper is great. no bad rep intended to MSA because they supply some great quality products. but i was a little dissapointed. my agent is speaking to hear there thoughts. what do you think??

thanks for the extra suggestions guys. beandip your right on the button with the whole future repairs scenario. it makes me more and more sway towards a solid color. i think a solid color won't date like a modern color. arne,zero,doug and co have me hooked on yellow at the moment. loving the look of this 240z in oz painted in pastel yellow. the mirrors are of old ford. they really suit the lines of the car. what do you think?

hi guys. here's a little photo shop trickery one my friends did with a photo of the phoenix yellow pic with my wheels,mirrors and more yellow in color. looks really good.the mirrors are carbon fibre and alot smaller than in pic.

now your talking!! priced up cf bonnet with race on usa. brilliant price on e bay. some guys have bought for as little as 300usd on their best offer system on e bay. these are fibreglass hoods with real carbon top skin. however got a price of 899usd for shipping to u.k!! ouch!! asked if this was total price inc bonnet. no response. we have an agent for MSA here in uk. may price it up. but not yet. another nice zed from the site here WITH AND WITHOUT CF HOOD. same car. maybe wheels and chrome bumpers but i think without c/f hood looks better. what d'ya think?? also close up of phoenix yellow with carbon bumper. the wheels let down this IMO. but color does grow on you.

hi guys. i know this subject has been done to death but a few ideas may sway my final color choice in my 240z restoration. let me start with my accessories which will determine look. 15 x 8 watanabe gunmetal/machined lip. msa airdam with no ducts (jdm style not bre) msa carbon fibre bumpers (but o.e chrome ones still in superb condition so could still use). i know it's my color my car scenario but i haven't seen that many in the flesh. a car in a photo on the web can be alot different to the real deal.so those who have been to a few meets/shows could help me out. here's my short list (at the moment!) with pics in order. honda championship white (could always powder coat my wheels fully and i think would suit carbon fibre bumpers) phoenix bmw yellow (this one has carbon bumper and same again may look good with all black or bronze watanabe's) 920 gold with gloss black hood (love this photo but same again have never seen this color on a zed and not sure solid color would go with carbon bumpers) last pic is my brown 240 with trial fit of watanabe wheels i know some you guys would love a chance of a complete makeover and have seen colors that really caught your eye and some of you just love your cars as they are. i'm wanting something that's not going date quickly so candy colors probably a no no. your thoughts please.

hey bart. believe it or not i've toyed with both those color schemes, before deciding on keeping the period look. conclusion i came up with was a) candy red. brilliant color which gives real depth to s30 lines but bit of a fashion color so may look out of place in the future. gunmetal & stripes eleanor style. the 240 is not a big bulky car like a mustang, so unless you go the whole hog marc rolston style (see pic) and really beef your car it may not have the desired affect. hope that helps.

hey guys i'm currently trying to sort out the route i will take on my second 240 1973. i'm trying to keep it fairly old school. think the hugger orange i've seen on the camaro's looks nice in the pictures. with most of you guys on the other side of the pond, i was wondering what the color is like in the flesh and do you think it would suit the classic s30 lines ??
