Stroker Crank
Blue....Can you post 5 or 6 pics and some info on your crank? Thanks Guy

Lash pad fell off top of valve spring
If it is a missing keeper, fix it immediately before firing it up again. If it drops the second keeper, your valve will have a close encounter with your piston. A friend of mine had his new gas tank liner dissolving in his gas. The viscous mixture was causing his valves to seize and throw keepers. It was always only intake valves (how he figured it out).

My Rockers seem to be a little off, or I'm off my Rocker(s)
Nothing that indicates Nissan......I sent off 72 rockers to Delta Cams about 5 years ago. I was afraid they may stop resurfacing the rockers. Here are numbers from one box.

I would never get mad at you Z Head even when you can sometimes be a D Head (LOL). I always appreciate your efforts.....even when I disagree with you. Guy

Why would you ever reuse those rockers when for under $50.00 you could have beautiful Nissan Delta regrinds? I can see reusing the cam if it shows no damage, but never those rockers. Everywhere there is a pit, there is a little nasty piece of metal hopefully in your oil filter. Go with the regrinds IMHO

Hi Jim.....I’m no engineer, but have never had any problems with Nissan reused without a regrind or Delta Cam regrind rockers. Folklore is that Nissan had it right with the two metals (cam and rockers) as far as compatibility. Delta does a beautiful job, cheap and quick to return. I always use Nissan Isky regrind Cams ( Stage III) and Delta regrind rockers and have never had a single problem in probably 20 builds if you count 510’s. Good Luck Guy

Tempted on removing, cleaning and reinstalling hitachi original distributor on my 240z
My thoughts exactly.....”If it ain’t broke, don’t break it!”

71 fuel tank reinstallation
Try applying heat.....the rubber should soften up to slide over the neck. Don’t get the heat gun too close to the gas tank or the fumes could cause a problem lol.

Hi Zedy....Looks great, but you need to work with those white safety socks! ?

SU's from Hell?
They’re not kinda, they’re really sexy. Can you imagine 6 SU’s on a 240Z? Wow, I wonder if that has ever happened? Bet it would be a blast!

[2018] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
That’s a rack for my Go-Jack foot jack dollies. I have to dollie the white car around to fit the 4th car in that garage. I used to use these, but it’s a pain to roll around a jack to put them under the car. Now with 4 pumps of the foot on each Dollie, the car is ready to push round. ?

[2018] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Finished putting Eibach and Tokicos in the white 70 car. Looks like it lowered it more than usual when installing Eibachs. Tokicos are getting hard to find.....had to pay up from Whitehead Performance for these.

New engine
All feel smooth and balanced, but the L24 crank and rods is smoothest to 7000 rpm. They all are a blast in different ways.....come to Richmond and we’ll drive em all Charles.

l24 blocked engine build - Few Questions
Pretty much nailed it Zed Head. I prefer the P90/P79 head shaved down and shimmed up to get 10 to 1 CR minimum. A high duration, high lift cam (I run 17 degrees static advance on all 5) with performance valve springs to handle the rpm. Swirl valves help the engine breathe....I run SU’s and love their simplicity (can’t seem to step up to trips)....they work amazingly well for all my engines, through full rpm (up to 7500) with no sign of not being able to adequately feed them. The only thing I think would really bump them all up is CR. If I could run 13 to 14 to 1 CR on pump gas, I would. All 3 of the different engine set ups that I’ve built are a blast. Like kids, it would be hard to say which one I love most!

New engine
Sorry Zed Head.....no numbers yet....best guess is close to the L28 crank engines I’ve built....170 at the fly....195-200 at the wheels. The two Stroker Motors are first in line for the dyno, just can’t seem to find the time. I will tell you they are a smooth accelerating blast to drive, but the strokers are real torque monsters....they feel like they want to break something. ?
