The Fairlady grille fits the top and lower middle mounting points (of 1971 rhd) but is a couple of inches away from the bottom mounts. Could extend the brackets or make new ones but if someone has a an elegant solution? would like to see. Nick

Could I fit 14x9 with-26mm offset to the rear with standard springs or would I have to cut the arches and fit flares? Nick

$30000+ should be more than possible for a very good 240z (but will it sell?) Average price in Australia $9000? you cant get an MGB for that price some old Holden sedans(FJ-EK) will fetch as much you'll pay $5000+ for a restored Morris Minor. Austin Healey sprite for $20000 a big one for $60000++ The list goes on. The 240 is one of the best priced sports car you can get, when you consider the number of RHD cars its quite rare. Nick

  14. To ease manufacturing and costs you could use the best available covers? and produce the rims in copper or brass and chrome plate. This would be a much easier material to work with? I dont how well the after market covers replicate the originals or if they will be suitable for the rims. Nick
  15. I'm all for using period correct parts. I'm not a great fan of the restoration that tries replicate the car as it came from the factory. The best restoration and the hardest to accomplish are when you cannot tell if the car has been restored!! To try to replicate years of wear is incredibly difficult and time consuming but the results are amazing. You have to start with a very good and original car to start and then replace parts as required with the best used parts you can find and if you have to use new parts you then have to age these. Good fun. Nick

How about this. Beats working under a tarp in the pouring rain. http://www.clubphoto.com/_cgi-bin/app.pl/albums/large_image_view?id=1735430&link_code=sa01_17 Nick
  17. What about fitting DBA's cross drilled and slotted rotors and competition pads and linings? No weight increase better heat dissipation, reduced fade? nice and easy. You can also vent the drums by drilling small holes in the contact area! Should help with heat loss. Nick

  20. This should be quite simple, provided the lower light has provision for a double fillament bulb. Run the wire from the bumper mounted light to the lower light and fit a double fillament bulb. Another way would be to disconnect the side light and just splice in the indicator wire. You can fit H4's that have the side lights if you feel that you need them. Nick
