I'm just in the process of getting a set (2 covers) from clasic datsun in the US $370 Aus inclusive of postage. Will have to pay duty and GST on arrival. But good value compared to getting re upholstered. From all accounts covers are very close to the original and not too hard to fit. nick

Yes the Classic Datsun , had some good reports on them $370 at todays exchange rates including postage. But you have to pay duty then GST on the purchase price, postage and duty, still a lot cheaper than a trimmer! Nick

Am in the process of getting some replacement seat covers and was wondering if I should replace the padding? I think this is horse hair? I guess it is original? Will this stuff fall off when covers are removed? Nick
  23. NickF posted a post in a topic in Interior
Thanks Victor The "horse hair" is about 2" thick on the seat back and is combined with foam in the seat squab. Nick

Victor Thought I would take advantage of the stronger Aus $ and get a few bits and pieces. The Classic Datsun seat covers, I see you had no trouble fitting, how was the material match? Did you use the the original padding and horse hair?(the brown fibreous material) Its hard to make a decision without seeing the finished product. Nick
