The prices should go up 240's are way under priced you get a lot of car for your money. When you consider the prices for rough MGB's, midgets or sprites, even minor 1000's an average 240 should get 7-10000$. Nick

Have seen some weights quoted for "Fairlady"240z at 995 Kg,240z at 985Kg(might have been the other way round) were these home market cars? and 240z at 1040Kg Any thoughts on how these production ? cars shed so much weight? Nick

I think 150000 240 world wide? 2000-3000 in Australia? seems a lot. 1600 in UK. Europe? Japan? Is there a club statistician?

Gav Have talked to them about getting 240 motor re built and modified to 200bhp. Approx price $3500. Did'nt seem to bad? It cost me $2700 to rebuild and mod an old Holden grey. Any recomondations? Nick

Restoration soon to start on Datsun. Sound but tatty, should be fun. Originally from UK and have owned, Morris 8, Mini Minor, Mk1 Sprite, Porsche 356B cab, Land Rover, Ferrari 330GT, Citroen 2CV, Austin Healey 3000, Morris Minor con, Morris Minor trav, VW type3, Subaru 4wd. How many 240's sold in Australia, UK(not many) and USA? Just interested. Any thoughts on how many of the first 500 RHD 240's survive?

would like more power from 240 dont want to go to bigger engine. is 200hp possible without the loss of tractability and reliabillity? Over optomistic? too expensive? What could I expect with worked head, cam and extractors? Live in Australia so limited avaliability of stuff ??

Hi Can anyone explain the body Nos .I have an Australian delivered 240 1970 No396 . Are the numbers country specific, or for different design rules? The car has the vented tail gate and twin levers on the console.
