  1. Great thread and pic's - can't believe I am just now finding it. Keep on keeping on.
  2. Agreed - if I ever had to get into my head (in more ways than one) I'll pop out that Stage II and install a III. I totally agree! Dave Rebello tried to tell me, but I was afraid of a idle lope at the time.
  3. Both are looking great! Hey Guy - how many engines/heads have you done? Whats your favorite one/combo? Are we going to see some triples ever? I know there are challanges with the Webers but my Mikuni's from Wolf Creek have been a blast - if you try it, it will put a big ole' Virginia grin on your face!
  4. Just in case you need some for your garage - SIGNPAST | Vintage Reproduction Signs http://www.economysigns.com/decals.html
  5. We have had some members that have sent their dizzy's off to that the advance curve corrected for their individual cars - have you searched?
  6. Bring you car up to driving RPM's and then set your timing. That will help. I set mine at about 3300 RPM's.
  7. Could look for a Subbie R180 and modify the ends - you would end up with a LSD if you picked the right year from a STi.
  8. I got to the point a couple years ago going to Advance Auto and buying the cheapest tach they had just to check to see if my wiring or my tach was the fault..................it was the tach. Sent it off to have it "renewed". Works like a charm with new innards .
  9. I'll have to keep this in mind the next time I drop out the differential. I'll go ahead and get a bump stop and put on my parts shelf so I'll have it. Thanks for the heads up.
  10. I did not have the factory lower diff mount connected - only the upper R/T mount.
  11. Almost 4 years after I have posted this I have removed my R/T Mount. As stated above in post #27 the pinion angle was just not right for me. I had slight vibrations - worked on adjusting the pinion angle several times - moved over to a 3.90 diff with a close ratio 5 speed. Once removed and replaced the original mount and the below arrester strap no pinion angle vibration. I'm putting my R/T mount in storage. 22-J4201 Goto-Band for Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z Arrester Belt - $59.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce
  12. I had a chance to visit with Gordon at ZDayz 2013 at Tail of the Dragon- his car is very nicely done.
  13. Let us hear from you if you have had your calipers paint for more than two years - is it holding up - what brand did you use - would you do it again?
  14. Transtar Rebuild Kit 80-83 5 Speed FS5W71B / BR104WS = $128.67. Order it direct form Transtar. If you are having shaft and cog problems then you will have to go to Nissan to see what they still make - or find another donor tranny and piece them together with a new rebuild kit - best of luck
  15. Great! Keep us informed when you get them ready to roll.
  16. ...............I thought there would be more..................
  17. Next year you need to make it to ZDayZ and take best of show! ZDayZ 2013
  18. A ZOMBIE thread that is only 4 weeks old and the person that started it is still having a challenge - I don't understand the comment.
  19. Guy - Keep it rolling and keep us updated - looking forward to some pics. If you get to Western NC to get out out of the heat of Richmond give me a shout. Just jump on the Blue Ridge Parkway and keep on going South - you'll be glad you did!
  20. A One Inch Diameter Brake Master Cylinder for the S30 Z Cars - Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis - HybridZ Help! What brake options are available for S30 Z cars? - Brakes, Wheels, Suspension, and Chassis - HybridZ If you are looking for the best and easiest way to make flares (and don't mind to pay to rent a flare press form Fedhill) - this is the ticket without a doubt - a picture perfect flare every time - not sometimes - but every time dead on perfect. The second picture is from some of the flare that came from those cheap $40 tool sets - they just suck and no matter how good you are you can not duplicate the quality of a flare press. It really makes a brake job a lot easier and connections that will last for a few more decades. The Fedhill brake line was wonderfull to work with and never had a kink period. Great stuff! Hope this helps with your mission - enjoy the ride!
  21. I am wondering how you found a master cylinder for 40.00 (did I read that right?). If you are thinking about changing/upgrading your rear brake system and proportioning valve you may really want to ditch the $40.00 problem and move to a 15/16th Master or a 1" Master to take care of your future braking needs. That would be one piece of your future braking needs finalized................just a thought. I do use speed bleeders that work great. For plugs I use the brake male fitting that is inline with the flare that are filled with JB Weld for plugs - they work great and make a nice seal so things do not leak at all. Keep us posted. When you engine is running are you getting any better vacuum?
  22. Have you seen the new 2014 Ford Mustang - do a search and surprise yourself. I'm a BMW guy but Ford is making the curve with a great looking new design and big powerplant options...........this should be interesting! 2014 ford mustang - Bing Images
  23. Great success story! Enjoy the day with your bride!
  24. Looks like they have been installed before - very interesting. 1971 Datsun 240Z V12 for $9,800!
