  1. Did I read the last paragraph right, if so, you better strap in and hold on! How to build a Vette-based V-12 engine, the hard way | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos
  2. The last time I spoke with Roger he had shipped a lot of parts oversea in a container.
  3. Great looking car - sorry you're having to let her go.
  4. AFR? Are you good after your pilot screw adjustment?
  5. Sounds like the intake may not be on tight - it was tough to get my short Mikuni intake onto the head. Might be worth a recheck.
  6. After you have tried the above post..... My bleed rotation is: Driver Side Rear Passenger Side Rear Passenger Side Front Drivers Side Front Give that a shot - FWIW.
  7. Unplug the vacuum advance / fuel pressure 3 psi (+/-.5 lb psi) Check your fuel filters to make sure there is no debris in them at all - I run two - one in the back before the pump with a metal filter - one inline in the engine compartment. 1000 RPM @ 12-14 degree - base setting 3000 RPM @ 36 degree - do not exceed 4000 RPM @ 38 degree - do not exceed I set my timing at 3000 RPMs - I only use the 1000 RPM setting to get the car running - you must unplug the advance hose. This is my timing with my Mikuni's - this setup came from Rebello Racing and it was dead on the first time - give this a shot and see if it helps
  8. I think I would ebay those out and start with tried and true mods...........keep us in the loop. By the way - the Datsun S30 brakes are more than sufficient for our cars. A clean brake fluid flush - some good Porterfield pads and shoes - make sure everything is working (ie pistons and and cylinders). Bleed your system and your good to go.......unless you really just want something for show. Check this out: Brake upgrade FAQ - Brakes, Wheels, Suspension, and Chassis - HybridZ
  9. Call Retrosound - there is a reset they can walk you through if you think that will help. Are all the buttons working on the head unit? If so, you may not need a re-set.
  10. Do you have the vacuum advance hooked up? I do not have that connected with my Mikuni's.......
  11. I had my SU's with a L28 for several years - worked like a charm once you get the balanced and set.
  12. 4:11 will give you more bottom end - be care if you opt that route - some of the sides are pop in and not bolt in - you will need to verify with the seller what type he is selling if you are going to make a purchase.
  13. What year is your Z? I have the exact same set up for transmission and diff - it bolted right up, I did replace all the seals. If I were to do it again I would opt for a 4:11 diff.
  14. There are over 700 registered attendee's, representing over 30 states and country's for this year's event - are you coming to drive the Tail of the Dragon? From what I understand the Juke-R is making it's USA first time appearance at this event as well ZDayZ 2013 Registrations | ZDayZ 2013
  15. Gotta ask - what are you going to do for a radiator? OEM Black - or shiny alum?
  16. Sounds like a great family hobby to me - hope you find one
  17. When I was running SU's I always kept (and still have some) a few extra float bowl gaskets - once used, those things curl up like a pringle potato chip - anyway, did you replace or reuse that gasket?
  18. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-zcar-discussion/35809-post-your-original-decal-pictures-here.html
  19. I would have to assume your triples have a jet set up (much like my Mikuni's). What is that setup?
  20. Has anybody added a complete ABS braking system to a 240? Is it even possible?
  21. Esprist - I just went page by page on your website. I've purchased several items from you in the past, all exceptional quality. Your items are very impressive that you have listed - amazing that you can find that many unique items. Great job keeping the part rolling to us!!
  22. It's kinda like cutting holes in your door panels for speakers - I just could not do it...............
