  1. 70's rock - Gibson Les Paul/Marshall Amp/Aria Pro II 1976 - Taylor 6 sting
  2. I agree - I do not think a relay like that would originate in a wet location under the hood
  3. Jon - Sold - please PM me and give me your details - I can paypal or mail a check - you pick it
  4. Have you set your fuel float level correctly?
  5. Here is another option if you want your dash to remain original with the original radio in place http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34630&highlight=retro
  6. I had the same air filter set up as you and got intouch with The Z Barn - Roger fixed me up with a nice original air breather with hardware - I cleaned - restored - installed a K&N airfilter on it. The air horns on the original breather system gives you a much better look with more directed air into you carbs - great upgrade for around $100.00 or so, and better performance. Great find!
  7. Mike- Depending on your carbs (rounds or flats - I do not have knowldege of flat tops) it sounds like the float bowl needle valve is not closing properly in the float bowl of that carb allowing fuel to continue to run over the level that is set by the float - or - your float is out of adjustment allowing too much fuel into the carb and it is running over - I would start with the valve, inspect and clean - or - replace. Once you break open your float bowl cover I would recommend to go ahead and replace the gasket for the lid - once you remove it, it will look like a Pringle potato chip - Bruce with Z Therapy can assist with your needs and he one of our members and sponsers. There are two excellent CD's that they offer and can give a great basic knowledge of how these carbs work and how to correct different issues - these are a must have for your proper set up and reference. I just re-read the post and saw Webers - sorry - no knowledge of Webers - have you searched the site? http://www.ztherapy.com/
  8. 110 Red I get tons of compliments at car shows and street lookers - this was the original color for this car and I had thought about changing colors prior to painting - 3 years later I am still extremely happy with my choice. For me, it was the perfect color
  9. She's a keeper - both the chick and the car!!
  10. Kobo- The other items I have purchased from you have been dead on perfect (is that your e-brake cable on MSA now?) - I am sure the brake lens assembly are up to your high standards as well - thanks for getting these in the market for us!! Is there a way that we can buy direct from you and save a little on the MSA margin - I know MSA offers our membership a discount but if we could get you started with a solid order from the membeship here it may help with the initial cash outlay that you had to do - let us know - I'm in!
  11. Here is a link that will help - good luck with your project! http://www.xenons30.com/fiche.html#Models
  12. Check your door striker screws - if they are not the correct lenght the screw ends will go into the door too far and will block the lock linkage from traveling to lock the door - the screws must be the correct lenght to lock your door.
  13. Lewis- I agree with Beandip - I just changed out my air filters to the original air breather and reconnected all the hoses along with the air flow valve ......... I removed all the K&N Filters from the breather and the crankcase and made the correct connections - I have not fired my car up but will next week (I live in the 3500' snow belt in NC) - I'm sure my car is going to be more powerful (due to the air horns) and less smell in the interior as well. I did also replace some grommets in the firewall. Have you adjusted your carbs - are they burning rich generating that heavy fuel smell and smoke?
  14. Please don't take it the wrong way, but...........this should be good!! !I did a search a few months ago and read so much I got tired of reading:stupid:and still could not find an answer to the original question - I guess it is kinda like describing the perfect women................
  15. Is your battery fully charged? I had the same thing happen to me last year while the car was in winter storage - put a full charge on the battery and see if that works - just a thought.
  16. Lonny- I hate it when that happens - once is bad enough, but 9 times!
  17. Folks I need a little assistance please. I did a search and could not find anything on this topic. I've got my drivers side window out - replaced the lock and have been to visit the Z Barn and got a couple great looking non scratched windows. I have already replaced the window with the bottom window bracket holder and now comes time to put the window back into the door channel - I know I need to go in reverse of the removal but I know it is a little more difficult than that. Are there any tricks and tips before I start Tuesday evening putting that window back in the door? Thanks in advance - driving season is getting closer every day!!
  18. They are on ebay all the time - I've been looking for a splash pan with no luck but I see the bolts - you have the pan and can't find the bolts - life is a strange thing some times!
  19. Great thread - this is on my "to do" list this spring before driving season starts
  20. We've got all the details right here - If I run across any other details I'll post here so the thread is all together - I'll be ordering decals Monday through Banzai Motorsports - http://www.zzxdatsun.com/
  21. Drove to Maryville, Tenn. and visited Roger at the Z Barn today - great trip 3.5 hour drive - already started on the air cleaner - rubber in great shape!
  22. Bruce- Since you guys in Oregon are out of the air cleaner business can you give us any tips and tricks to get a stellar product when we refinish ourselves. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! * Guy in Richmond says the perfect match for paint is "De 1620 Chevrolet Orange" * www.zzxdatsun.com has a great price on a set of decals * MSA has the K&N Filters and gives our members a discount
