Yes I looked at the 240z panels but have a 260z so plan on buying 260z panels. The dealer is going to order them and we'll see if they come in.

I didn't mean they were an OEM original factory installed part. I meant original 1970's aftermarket not the cheap rubber only stuff available today. Sorry for the confusion Arne. Thanks for catching that.

Anyone have pictures of the console lid?

I found a good part number for these new OEM panels from Nissan Canada. Price quoted from local dealer in $269 each. Still not sure if they can get them but I will order a set just to check. Also their cost is $150 ish and they are listing as $269, ouch!

As Arne said try pulling the cable, cleaning it and the tube and relubing the cable and tube the cable goes in. That bobbing is usually a slight binding in the tube which twists the cable slightly then releases.

Personnally I love the look of the original aluminum molding that ended just after the door or before the wheel arch. I've been looking for some. I was going to 3M them on though. The tape works extremely well and should hold up fine.

Anyone know if 260z - 280z door panels are still available? Anyone have the latest part numbers for them. Called my local dealer and they confirmed 240z panels are available.

I'm looking for a remote mounted radio tuner/mp3 player with bluetooth that I could mount under the seat and keep my stock radio in place. I want to play the mp3's from my phone. If I find something I'll let you know.
  9. I've been drinking a lot of Rickard's Red and Rickard's Honey Brown brewed by Molson here in Canada. Also enjoy the local micro brewery beers. The Pump House Blue Berry beer. We had a beer festival last weekend. I regretably didn't get a chance to attend. http://www.atlanticbeerfestival.ca/
  10. I'm searching for a bluetooth adaptor that will do just that. Haven't found anything universal yet that I think would work.
  11. I have a 260z with an Alpine head unit and am thinking of installing a stock 260z am/fm radio I have. I'd like to do it if I could find a hidden bluetooth unit I could tie into the radio to play the mp3's on my phone. Does anyone know of a bluetooth addon that may work? Jeff

"Sorry officer I forgot to multiply by 1.6" only works if you're not going double the posted speed limit.
  13. I found three in the garage. Just to be sure these are Mullholland strut inserts that came out of a 240z. The inserts are orange and are probably 80's vintage. Here is a picture. So you only need two? Send me your mailing address I'll get them off to you tomorrow. Jeffrey
  14. I know I have a set of Mullhollands in my garage. I walk past them on the shelf every time I go in. I'm pretty sure I have the gland nuts on them. If they are there you'll just have to pay for shipping from Moncton, NB, Canada. I can always machine some if I ever wish to use the inserts. I'll check in a few hours and let you know.

Yes the actual metric guages only go up to 240 km/h. The 160 MPH speedo's converted to metric would go to 260 km/h to keep the same sweep. 160mph x 1.6 km/mile= 258 km/h I started out with Corel Draw back in the mid 90's. I loved it. Very intuative to use.

Jim I had asked around a few times if we had any metric speedo's in Canada. I always got the same "no" response. I did manage to get two speedo's from Australia. One with the same font as my 260z. I'm putting it in very soon. I did this before I found the metric gauges and decided to do a white face as well. Can you get me a picture of your metric speedo?

Here is my 260z scan. Looks the same. The 90 looks to be positioned in the same place on both speedo's. This should work fine on your speedo.

Dan was it a 240z speedo?

I have 4 260z dashes here. I'm going to cap the dash in my car for now and try this on the spares I have. Can't wait to see the results.

I figured that's why you sent it to me as it wasn't working well.

I scanned my 260z mph guage and used Adobe Illustrator to create these based on my scan. I wanted to make sure if I overlaid this on to a 260z mph guage that it would be correct. I had to check my email to see who sent me a km/h guage scan a while back. It was you Chris. Thanks. I still have the Illustrator files if any profesional vinyl guage guys want it for the correct font. Jeffrey

If you are using Internet explorer for a browser you will have to right click and save as to download the images. IE does not display jpgs directly sometimes. I tried to upload as an attachment but they are too big pixel wise. I'll try get them to display another way for IE guys.

I made two metric speedo overlays for anyone interested in a metric speedometer. They are calibrated for a 260z mph speedometer. Just print them out and stick them on. If you use them post some pics. I have attached them to the post but for the full resolution right click link and select save as. http://www.atlanticz.ca/260z_metric_speedo_guage_black.jpg http://www.atlanticz.ca/260z_metric_speedo_guage_white.jpg

Mine have been great. I have 16x7 with 4mm offset in silver with a polished lip. They look great, clean well and look great.
