does anyone know?

i have the same problem with my brakes...the pedal goes all the way to the floor before it starts to work....i don't think anything is leaking in my car either cuz i always check my brake fluid level and it always stays at the same level....any ideas?a mechanic told me it could be my brake booster...what and where is that? i have a 71 240Z

i got this pic from a japanese site....i think they said it was kaminari but kaminaris kit isn't like this...this looks like a kit for a 280ZX...

is it possible to due this with minimal modifications?

i tried 2 new light switches and it didn't solve my problem so i'm assuming it's something in the wiring or the ground of the lights. where are my lights and signals and marker lights grounded to? anyone have any ideas?

alex240z, i seem to have a very similar problem as you. when i turn my park lights on no lights work. then if i turn the switch one more time for the headlights they work but nothing else goes on. my brake lights work, hazards work, and all 4 signals did work until a couple days ago. kinda weird cuz when i turn on the hazards the front signals flash but when i turn my lights on they don't go on and now they stopped working when i signal.. what was the problem for you? i really need to get it fixed soon cuz i can't drive at night right now and got a ticket to fix it already. i'm trying to do it myself without having to bring it to a shop to fix cuz i'm low on cash right now. thanks

anyone here done any 5 bolt conversions on their Z?

does anyone know if it's possible to some how convert the 240Z wheel bolt pattern to a 114.3 5 bolt? anyway at all?

those wheels go from $300US-$800US a wheel...and i don't have a website for it...if i need to get them i jus have to find a shop who imports wheels from japan...not just any wheel store though..a couple of tuners in my city could import them for me if i wanted them...to expensive though for now...

you could go japanese as the 1985-1987 Corolla GTS and 240sx share the same bolt pattern as the 240Z but with different offsets..most of the aftermarket wheels for these cars have very big lips and are 10mm to 0mm offsets ...mind you these wheels are very expensive... here are some

uh, well i solved the problem now....it's was actually really simple...and one thing i did find out was that my tires have always been rubbing, i got the wrong offset wheels second when i checked my car out that night i was slightly intoxicated...hehehehe...anyways, i feel like an idiot for thinking my car was lower...it actually was but it was on a slant on the road so, yeah...and the bumping noise was a huge patch of road tar that stuck to my tire from road construction...i had to take off the wheel and scrape the gooey road tar off my tire for a couple hours...that stuff sticks!and it was like 1cm thick!.. well i'm gonna go into a little corner now cuz i'm such an idiot... it's the damn alcohol....:stupid:

i know, sounds so screwed up doesn't it...doesn't make any sense...before i had this problem i noticed that every manhole i ran over in the road my car would harshly bottom out...i'm assuming the springs were cut cuz my car was lowered when i bought it...and was thinking if the shocks(all 4?) did go, it shouldn't affect the ride height a whole lot as like someone said already, the springs are what hold the car up...i talked to the local Z shop already and he thinks my springs were cut and now they finally have just gone...but he's really puzzled about why the tires are hitting the spring perches...the tires on the back were very close to the springs before, i noticed but they were not touching...this is jus great, i have jus enough money for the light switch i need to buy and now this happens...(sigh)...damn it...

i was driving my 240Z all night and then i just parked it for an hour or so then when i came back to my car to drive home i noticed a bumping noise like my wheel was hitting something so i pulled over and checked my car out and my car was sitting about 2 inches lower than normal....my tires were fine but my diff was almost touching my exhaust pipe and i reached under the wheel well in front and felt that the inside tire was touching the spring/strut assembly!! then i checked the other 3 wheels and found that all 4 of my tires were rubbing against the shock/springs!! i could barely even fit my hand inside the wheel wells of the back wheels as my car was sitting so low...what could be the problem?could it be that my shocks are gone? please help me....pleeeeaaassee....

anyone have wiring diagrams for the light switch and signal switch for a 71 240Z on the net? if i can get them printed out then my friend said he could help with my problem as he is very good with that stuff..

thanks...my brake lights work and when i turn on my hazard signals my rear lights flash and i think the front ones do too i can't remember....hmm....wonder what it is...really need to get this fixed soon...

...i got a stupid warning ticket cuz now my taillights,side markers, front signals, and dash lights don't work only my headlights, and climate control lights work work...my lights no longer stay on but they don't work...i have to fix this problem in 10 days or i get a $575CDN ticket!...well actually only if i get pulled over again then i get the ticket.....anyone wanna ship me a signal lever switch, and light switch?....i saw the light switch in the MSA catalog and it's like $91US!..and the signal switch and lever was only a little cheaper!...i can't afford that....is there a fuse for all the lights? i couldn't find it...i looked at the fuse box under the cigarette lighter and only found a fuse for the headlights

i saw one in top gun...the part when that chick that tom cruise likes takes off and drives through the city with her old porsche like a nut and tom cruise is following her, there was a 240Z driving by when they stopped

anyone else want indiglo gauges? we need like 20 people minimum.... i guess most owners of Z cars probably wouldn't be into these gauges...
