This car struck me as odd since it’s nearly half the vin as mine. Mine is 36225 produced in 6/71. This one is 18629 with a 7/71 production date. It has the early series one parts on it as well. Also has the earlier engine numbers. Was this likely pushed to the side in the factory and then fixed and eventually sold? The production date is stamped at the factory right? Is there anyway to have the ad be in the center? So as you scroll by you see it. On a pc it’s easy to see and close at the bottom because there is so much screen space, but on the phone, it takes up so much I can’t close the ad without opening it. I’ve come to the site less and less due to the hassle.

I would unplug the ECU and check for any corrosion though. Use some electrical cleaner and spray each connector. Make sure you let it dry well before re-starting. I found a bunch of info on the z31 ECU upgrade, but for the life of me I couldn't find just the plug upgrade. I think it was on zdriver site. I'll have to keep looking.

To add more to the mix, I had an 82 Turbo that ran fine cold, but once warmed up it would run really rough at times. The ECU was exposed right by my foot. I accidently bumped the plug going into the ECU and it ran great! When ever the car would do this I would do this and it ran great. It was repeatable. Those ECU plugs have known connectivity issues. I'm pretty sure there are some guys who have upgraded to the Z31 ECU plugs because of it. And I'm not talking about upgrading to the Z31 ECU, just the plugs.

I bought a cheap eBay carpet set. I really only needed the rear cargo carpet. Suggestions on how to get the wrinkles out? I hot steamed the heck out of it and hung it. It’s only been a little bit. Maybe laying in the hot FL sun? This kit is cheap and I would not recommend. My used search has not turned anything up. I guess I’ll leave neutral feedback as it got here quick, but for the life of me why they wouldn’t have rolled it is beyond me.

Maybe DEF for gasoline engines! I know that is catalytic converter! I’m shocked every state doesn’t have mandated inspections. I recall in the 80’s going with my dad for the inspection here in FL and then it just disappeared.

I so wish I recall what my old 70 VIN# was back in 89, 90. I took the motor out and threw it away e31 head and all! Who would have known.
