For the ones I’ve seen pop up around here that is pretty cheap. They seem to go for 5 and up. I’ve befriended someone who is into them locally and like the Z cars, rust. They are hard to find parts for especially the pet trim pieces he said. He has three of them. https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/d/datsun-1600-roadster/6593554049.html https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/d/1968-datsun-1600-roadster/6603694384.html there was another one that was 6k here in Orlando that must have sold recently.

Yeah I was too. It was very generic.

Holy cow that was fast. Very, very well packed. My son was like you have some package from China. I can’t figure what it is. Totally fogot I ordered it. Should I leave it in the kitchen until the wife yells at me!

That’s great! Were you the only Datsun you saw?

The older I get the more OCD I’ve become. I don’t understand it. Sometimes I have to stop myself and say who cares.

Ideally a vacuum bag would be the best. That one is like the first one, but thanks. Saw that earlier today, but thanks. Both I think pump hummidty here.

Yup I was thinking the same thing on the vacuum bag. My car is a primer queen at the moment. Not worried about paint to much. My issue is water, leaves, and all the other crap that gets into every crack and crevice. I can wash my daily and 10min later something has landed on it. I’ve got a lot of oaks around.

I think I'm going to get this: http://mdmshelters.com/docs/carpocket_assembly.pdf It zips fully up and is large enough that I can build a cheap PVC structure to hold It up better. I'll run my fullsize dehumidifier inside. Customer service said that the zipper may leak, so I'd I have to be careful with how I position it. The rest of it she said is waterproof.

I’m going to have to try that. I’ve been using the disposable damprid canisters. I was thinking of running a dehumidifier in my garage, but the second I open the overhead and the backdoor forget it. Maybe just run it overnight and off in the day.
  10. Oh that’s right. It’s been so long I forgot all about that.

Has anyone here tried these? I wanted to move my car outside for garage space to work on my other Z. Our humidity is high here Is the hard part. Honestly, it’s high in my garage too. http://carcapsule.com/16-outdoor-carcapsule/
  12. I don't recall any 280z or 280zxt having a oil temp sensor. Maybe the auto's did? I thought the later 280z ran the same 2 prong oil pressure sensor like the 280zxt. Regardless, if it's different unscrew the 280z one and screw it into the 280zxt. The oil pressure wire should be on the passenger side coming out of the engine bay harness from memory. (Not the Fuel Injection Harness). Also, make sure you clean all the grounds on the ZXT harness very well and all the associated plugs andupgrade the injector clips to modern ones as I'm sure the old ones are likely toast.

Are the intakes different than the exhaust? https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-seal-oil-vlv~13207-81w00.html Looks like 13207M Exhaust vs 13207 intake. Maybe that is just for illustration purposes only.

Hey Dave, Let me know if you need to use my KD tool. A video is expected!

Well, I took a chance. I've wasted $169 on worse. A few folks chimed in saying they go theirs fine and I used a Credit Card I rarely use.

Saw this on Facebook. Pretty cool. Seems like only a few days left until they are gone. https://www.brilliantneonsigns.com/store-front20542575

You able to keep it after all?

I must have missed it on the site, but how much were they? How is the shipping from Vietnam?
  19. My advice, sell the motor separately and scrap that shell. That is extremely rusty. I would jump on facebook and join some of the FB 300zx groups. I have a fake name on Facebook I use. Very easy to do.

Thanks I called today. Front is $400, rear is $450. Bumperettes are $75 each. With shipping to and from it may be easier to stay local. I did see the local places (Space Coast Platting) work today from a Datsun Roadster enthusiast. It was very nice quality. I just may wait to do any small stuff as shipping it would be cheaper.

Yep, they seem to be the only ones around. $$$ was the only issue in my mind.

At least you have options. I called several places today for fun in FL and all closed. The shops open, didn't do chroming and said call the place I already had. The few folks I talked to said they were the best to go to, but also the most expensive. It was interesting when I called the first shop. She said, most have gone out of business due to a lack of demand, EPA regulations and lack of youth willing to learn the trade. She said almost all of her employees are in their 50's.

Has anyone found a good source for Re-chroming that is not out of the world expensive? I have two sets I'd like to get done. I found only one place in FL that would do it and it was out of the world expensive from memory. I just called the only place I know, front bumper is $400, rear is $600 ( charge for each piece) Bumperettes are $110 each!

Are either of them Turbo cars? If so, grab the R200's. They are gold. Assuming they are 4/87 and later. They will have a finned cover on them if LSD.
  25. JSM replied to 79 datsun28ozx's post in a topic in Open Discussions
Gotcha. You getting them for free or did he just offer parts to grab?
