If it were me, I would remove the upper and lower rad hoses. Adapt a fitting to the upper radiator hose so you can run a garden hose to it. Run it for awhile to see how the flow is coming out and any crud. There isn’t much left.

So sitting all those years was the system sealed? No critters could have gotten in? Do you have the heater core bypassed? Also someone replaced their radiator recently and accidentally blocked it causing overheating issues. You sure that’s not the case? Not dinging you in anyway.
  3. I just picked these up from the original owner who said when he bought his 74 260z new it was a dealer option in CA. He still had his 74 in the garage. Anyway, from the research I’ve done Appliance was started in the 50’s and sold or transitioned to Japan for manufacturing. Mine say Japan on them. Does anyone know what year Datsun started offering these wheels as a dealer option? Luckily I got all 4 center caps too.
  4. If I get back there anytime soon I’ll snap a pic.

What CO said above. Also, it’s good to admit your limits. Since you were honest already, I would focus on the connectors and wires themselves and not apply any power. The last thing you want to do is add power, have mistakenly missed covering a hot wire and accidentally fry the whole harness. You can add a lot of life reducing resistance in poor connections. Steel wool, electrical cleaner, emery cloth, cut finger nail files can do a lot. Hopefully, you were super anal, labeled and photo everything. Engine harness is easy, but the under dash wiring can get messy.

  7. I think 70 and maybe early 71 were all metal. Not 100%. yeah I saw theirs. One is a reproduction in metal but is stick on, the other is the OEM but now out of stock for the 280z.
  8. That was trippy!
  9. I was just there two weeks ago. There is almost nothing left. That one has been there for I think at least 4 years now, maybe more. When it was in that shape I did grab the rear bumper and the gas door. Knowing know I wish I would have grabbed more then. Did you see that ZX he had? It’s still there too covered now at least.
  10. Thanks Patcon for posting the pics. I found one on ebay for $81 shipped from Japan. I wish I started gathering more parts years ago. Stuff is quickly disappearing and it seems once it's gone, it's ebay. I did manage to score a complete P30/E31 block/head combo for $150 the other day. Could be worse!

Enjoy your brunette. I’ll stick with my blonde!

Where you going with this? Did I rub a sore spot Because you like them and I don’t? Blondes or brunettes right ? My opinion is the fender mirrrors are in the way compared to US mounted door mirrors. If it’s not to you great. I have zero issues if you like them on the fender.

    On the drivers door.

I never cared for the look and most importantly their location on the fender is one more thing to have to work around.
  15. These seem to be $$$ if you find one or unubtainium. Either actually.
  16. Any know the differences to the two different part numbers? I always thought the script "Datsun" emblems were the same? 90806-E4601 240z 98812-N3501 280z
  17. Thanks I forgot about that. Is there a preferred paint to use (brand wise)?
  18. I checked out two places where I’m at. One quote was $3500 the other was $5300. Looking to get as many quotes as possible. Not trying to be cheap or show quality, but good driver quality. Will hand them a shell.
  19. I quoted the wrong person, then couldn’t edit it out. It’s. always hard to internet help without being there. Plus I type so much better on my keyboard then my iPad!
  20. Flow isn’t always associated with pressure. You could have enough flow to get the car to idle but not enough pressure to supply the needs for the engine. A fuel pressure gauge will allow you to know exactly where you stand.

Another thought is contact the guys from the Peking race to see where they sourced some the parts your looking for. I think the hard ones to get will be the longer springs/ shocks. The one guy Chris is from CA too. I thought in northern CA. 104 Chris Bury(USA) / Tjerk Bury(USA) http://www.endurorally.com/pages/peking-to-paris-motor-challenge-2016-participants

You got some work ahead of you. Still, likely cheaper than doing that to the jag, plus would you really want to? The XKE have really skyrocketed in price, but since you can afford the entrance fee I’m assuming money is isn’t an issue. ?

What parts are you looking for? Lots of places too look. EBay, here on the forums online dealers. Courtsey NiSsan Online and Nissan Parts Deal. You need to know OEM part number and searching by name sometimes doesn’t help. MSA is also very good and they are in LA. https://www.courtesyparts.com/ https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/ http://www.thezstore.com/
