  1. So you have the rebuilt one in the car now? Or are you running the JY one you picked up? Both the ZX and the 300z are gone from the yard. I was bummed the 300z was gone as I needed the power steering hose. They have a 50% sale this whole weekend. Would have cost me $3 for a $79 hose, grrrr.

  3. No but I had some junk in my tank.
  4. Flow line is yes, return is smaller, I think 3/16".

That rear valance looks like a 280z. I don't recall 240's ever having holes like that? The tail light holes look off to me too?
  9. Yes I believe it does. When I got the car in pieces though dist was assembled. They couldn't get it to run so they were checking timing and I bet they had the dist cap off as they were checking. The real issue was the rats chewed some 20 plus wires on the EFI harness!
  10. It was an 8mm. I think they were taking the timing cover bolts off. Can't be Steves!

I was simply trying a new trick. Just didn't work out. Back to the old!
  12. I think your right.
  13. Dang! Yeah I was nervous about the spring falling in the cyclinder. Luckily after the plug came out I was able to get it out with a magnet.
  14. Yeah it was in there. It look like that piece came off the cap. All new cap and rotor on the way. Z31 plugs are a pain to pull. The plugs are a magnet for debri. You have to blow them out, spin a screw driver around then blow them again, losen half way and blow a third time. At least this is what I do. I found a injector spring clip at the bottom of one plug.
  15. So the stumble is caused by the fact the piston moves up to fast flooding the engine right? Mine is only a slight stunmble usually when in second and start to accelerate. Mine is not like jalexquijano.
  16. I know pretty crazy.
  17. I'm gonna have to try this. I have a low rpm stumble.

You could always make the etched vin simply go away. I know it doesn't solve your issue.
  19. ... a socket as I'm doing the timing belt, water pump service on my new $400 Z31 Turbo. I still can't believe it didn't cause any damage to the rotor. Car did have a miss once in awhile. The hacks that were working on her before did all kinds of wacky things so I guess I shouldn't be to surprised.
  20. I think you owe chickenman a burger!

    Yep I said that earlier.

That plug is what goes to the - coil. It's weird that it is external to the ECU. Have you verified fuel pressure yet?

Supposedly these are good. Can't see much difference than the champions. https://www.mishimoto.com/datsun-240z-performance-aluminum-radiator-70-73.html
  24. good point! That 2+2, at least that is what it looks like to me, is a bit tweaked. I bet they were nice. The house in the background looks pretty nice. I bet he lost the house and was devistated about the cars. Since oddly the only thing left is the foundation and the Z's.
