Ignorant question but what does the @JSM do?

Maybe measure the distance for the mounting bracket and see if you can mount on the rail of the deck that has screws already. You'd likely be able to drill a hole in the extinguisher bracket.

My thought was behind the passenger seat mounted to the deck wall. Where people like to drill holes for speakers in the tool box. Don't know the technical name for the space. Thats kind of big though no? I forget which one I had but it was about half that size.

Did you open the door and look on the door plate? It's right by the seat and the door striker.

It's weird what they cleaned up and didn't. Seems towards the end of the restore it was hurry up and finish. Did the later 71 come with 72 style fuse cover and an am/fm radio?

You can't trim it? As long as the magnet is not bigger than speaker it shouldn't be an issue. Didn't the jbl speakers come with a template? Measure hole width vs template.

Are you talking depth hitting the back or they won't fit in the hole?

Ok that makes sense. So what does the blue fused wire do coming off the speaker wires?

If it's not actively listed it, they may not know the market. Are they open to offers? I guess my point is don't over pay if you don't have to.

Reading from the other thread, it shows the power going into the blue fuse wire. The plug above show the power and two speaker wires coming in but how does the radio get power? The plug seems like it would be speakers out only? So how does the blue wire get into the receiver from the 3 plug connector? ( since only 3,wires, it seems speaker out are two, and blue fuse is going in, but what's it going into the plug itself?) The separate red and blue wire are just dial lights and for testing purposes don't need to be hooked up right?
