They did a US version too. Entry fee was steep! I’d have to empty my savings account and not return back home!

Do it Dave! I passed on a heavily modded TT years ago for like 6k. It was a beast! Things are just very tight in the bay.

Interesting article. Watching the prices on bat and the auctions id disagree. https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2018/06/20/vintage-nissan-and-datsuns-that-are-hot-or-not

Precursor: So I’m 49 and I don’t feel like doing squat. Really doesn’t matter what it is. Maybe there is something wrong with me. I just did 1 of 3 steering bushings on my Tundra and honestly I feel paying the $400 to have someone else do it sounds wonderful! I have one of my 300zx half torn apart, had a goal that won’t occur, so she is kind of sitting there. My 71 needs to be torn apart, painted, etc, etc. At where I’m at now, I don’t ever feel I’ll finish and honestly, whatever. I don’t want to sell anything as I still dig going for rides in the 240z and my other junky 88 300zx. Just puts a smile on my face. So I found a 77 that looks really, really clean, $11.5k. Seems to have some minor issues but I don’t have to take the car completely apart. I have the money, but yes it would wizz the wife off. The neat thing is it is same color combo as my sons first car, that was really rusty. We sold it awhile ago. I know he would get a kick out of owning it in the future. Selling my 240z would help offset the price but honestly why. I may get a desire as I get older to work I get again. So are fairly clean 280z worth 12k? Is that high side? I mean it’s a decent driver.
  6. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one this clean before, ever. Price, wow! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223497950604
  7. Truly a Fred Flintstone car but $800: https://okaloosa.craigslist.org/cto/d/valparaiso-1972-datsun-240z/6878251441.html

Hey that turbo motor of mine needs to be tested!

I would think this would be pretty cheap way to make something Dave. https://www.harborfreight.com/air-vacuum-pump-with-r134a-and-r12-connectors-96677.html

Have you verified Fuel Pressure yet Dave? And i'm assuming the answer is yes to this one, but have to ask, did verify you didn't mix thermotime wires up with WTS?
  12. So are you going Turbo or just using the block?

Based on everything I've ever researched and read at HybridZ I wouldn't touch the head Dave. Leave it alone. The compression ratios aren't that different than the P90/F54 combos especially < 10PSI. I'd save the $ just in case you pop the gasket during your tuning and have to do it then!

Hmmm I read that as support spots only, not necessarily complete car jacking from the pinch welds.
  15. JSM replied to JSM's post in a topic in Open Discussions
Thanks. I know I can find other jack points, but it is so much easier to use the side pinch welds as designed. I get tired of getting on the ground, centering under the front cross member or rear end to lift. I was tempted to fab my own until I saw these.

Anyone try or have these? Maybe discussed before, but a quick search didn't yield anything. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Black-Car-Jack-Pad-Adapter-Durable-Rubber-Support-Repair-Pad-Tool-USA-Stock/264254036568?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Radiator ready to go! I’m off tomorrow too if you want to swing by. Have a box fan too if you need one. Also have an old school charger if you need it.
  19. JSM replied to Dave WM's post in a topic in Open Discussions
Yeah!!!! Lol, when I got my 300zx system to run standalone It was the best feeling in the world! let me know if you want to grab the exhaust and the radiator.
  20. Yeah I could see that with a LSX swap, but a standard 350 and auto? The rest is just the creators “opinion”. I guess he did ok from an auction perspective. ?
  21. Yeah that resto mod was a bit shocking.

Hey Mike, were going in August. Also heading to Kyoto of many places I’m told. Curious, how much you were able to charge versus needing cash?
  23. Dang, 72 sold for $33.5K
  24. Wow, 84 Sold for $21k! Wondering how this one will end up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-300ZX-Turbo/264275273932?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l9372
