  1. My bumpers were just drivers and I couldn't see investing in the right rubber for the cost.
  2. Did you forget the link?
  3. This what I did and thought it looked ok. I got this from pep boys. Still have a bunch left. I think it was $22 or so back then? All black no chrome.
  4. Just got back from the scrap yard, 946 lbs. $47 I'm rich! The one guy said you have the paper work for the car? I said no, it's just parts, not the whole car, which is true. He said let me talk to my boss. Sat there for like 30 seconds and he came out and waved me on. Car was minus doors, fender, radiator, most of the interior, engine, trans, rear end, front end and a few other odds and ends. And no additional harm to me unloading!
  5. It didn't make reserve.
  6. To me it's crazy to think it went that high.
  7. I was figuring it was someone on this site. That is one heck of an effort to manage all those CL ads, wow.
  8. I so regret not buying a g-nose Z in South FL. Sigh....

I used the guts from an extra 73 I had to fix my 71. The housing is different but the guts are the same.
  10. Do a detailed Measurement now, then adjust to what a 73 is. That way you can always go back. Though I doubt when the techs put it on they knew it was a Y-70 head and simply used 73 specs anyway.
  11. Leave it on until you find a new one. That will look terrible and you'll have no directional lights up front. To me this is a bit much, but this is what you want. https://www.ebay.com/itm/112347861996

I was missing two and MSA finally got them in. I ordered 4. They had 5 more in stock if anyone needs them.
  13. Have you guys seen this ad all over the country? I'll go down the rabbit hole of going from state to state and it seems to be everywhere. https://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/wan/6001328585.html https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/wan/6001307088.html https://batonrouge.craigslist.org/wan/6020605748.html https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/wan/6001253486.html
  14. ZX "mini". Now off to the scrap yard.

...but maybe they will have some collectibility value. I started searching for parts. They are hard to find. I did manage to find a new center console arm rest that was quite worn in my 88 300zxt. I ordered from one place only to find it was discontinued then got the last one courtesy had in stock.

From my experience with removing head nuts / bolts is that they normally come out pretty easy. Just be sure to save those thick washers. If you need some let me know I have plenty of extras. So now you have two of the 3 broken? Let me know if you need the torch.
  17. I sent you a PM.

Understand completely. I'm steeling the 79 NA EFI for my 71, then will use an 86 EFI Turbo harness and then maybe start playing with my electromotive setup I have. I'm really slow at stuff! I've had so many direction changes that have come full circle. Part of the fun of it for me is just figuring it out. I have all this turbo stuff and then drove an LS1 car and was like wow! Now I'm back playing with the L6 stuff. My wife just shakes her head.

Ah makes sense. Your on hybrid too right? You saw this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/73970-z31-vg30et-into-an-s30-project-outline/ When he had it up for sale I was so tempted! I'll have a spare Vg30 when I'm done swapping out my bad turbo motor. Hmmm....

Gotcha. You saw this also. I think this what the link referenced I believe. I don't think it's anymore than you already know. http://www.xenonzcar.com/z31/engines.html Aside from the year, what are you trying to determine? You trying to know if if came from a Z, truck or sedan? You might call Nissan directly and see if they can tell.

This was an eBay buy and I needed a 72-73 boot since my car was swapped to a 5-speed. $20 plus shipping.
  25. The first car is now on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/252825366625
