  1. In the yellow and black wire loom going to the temp sensor, my black wire is not hooked up. I thought it went to the distributor. (Spade connector for the old points?). I'm running some electronic distributor of some sort. I checked the wiring and engine diagram but didn't see it marked anywhere. Just curious. Car runs fine. On a side note, over the holidays I got the: - Tach to work - Brake lights and directionals going - Cigarette lighter working - Found out what's wrong with my headlight switch - New Brake booster installed (Warning Don't lose the clip on the large pin for the pedal. Luckily I found it. Seems the 73-83 pin is the same and available, but not the 70-71. - Visors and Rear view mirror installed.

I'm not sure why my wants are being questioned. No holes, no cracks and good bolts. If I wanted to fix something, I would fix mine.

Thank you. I was hoping for no additional body work (holes). Mine has a small chunk missing buy the headlight that I could fix, I was just hoping for bolt on and go.

Since yours is a 1 owner car with no rust you should have no problem in my opinion getting close to 12-15k. I drove from Orlando to Augusta to look at a 1 owner 73 that petty good amount of rust' hadn't ran in 5 years, was in a horrible spot with flat tires. She would have let me have it for $3500. I passed but helped her get $5500 for the car with just a craigslist ad. The only thing that hurts you car is it is 260z. Even though they are more rare it's odd to me they don't bring as much money. It is a thin bumper though which makes it more like the 240z and I'm pretty sure from a chassis perspective they are the same as the 73. In 74.5 they switched to the thick bumper and carried those into the 280z. I can tell you for sure values are going up in Z cars, even 280zx models. You will regret selling it and will likely never find one as clean as yours is. If it were me, I would keep it unless your hurting for money. At 13 I was passed over for my dads 73 one owner Z. I've tried like heck to find a white Z with a red interior and they are next to impossible to find.

    Are the headlight buckets sold?
  20. PM sent!
  21. The car has been sitting that I can tell since 2003 as such I'm sure it will need: Tank cleaned (drain old gas and maybe re-seal)Brakes gone throughClutch master and slave checked and maybe replacedCarbs cleaned (Weber dual down drafts)A/C chargeThis all for starters.
  22. Anyone know of a good, trustworthy, Z mechanic that won't take advantage of an older person? There is a one owner car for sale and the Grandson really wants the car. After hearing that I really tried to convince her to keep the car. I was skipped at 14 when my sister didn't want my dads Z! Plus I think it will help with motivating the kid to graduate! I know my sons truck did. Anyway, if you know of shop or have someone in mind who would be interested in helping please PM me. I about fell over when I saw the perfect dash in the picture. Oh and if anyone ever has any information on a 1973 White 240z w/ a red interior sold in 1982 from Orlando, FL please let me know!
  23. If it is a 87,88 or 89, yes it is an R200. If it is Viscous then only an 88 SS and again you have to have the axles if it is an 88 VLSD. The axles are incredibly difficult to source. It could be a VLSD from an 90-96 which aren't as valuable.
  24. You would still need to have the axles to match.
