I have had heat soak problems in the past and someone suggested changing the 'coolant temp sensor'. Seemed strange but it helped correct the problem. Don't buy aftermarket ones, they don't hold up. Buy OEM parts..... Hope this helps! -
For any of you that have fuel injection problems, I found this company in Tracy, CA and Robert (owner) is great. After a phone call, I took my AAR to him and he fixed it while I waited. He also works on many other parts that are associated with fuel injection. Fuel Injection Corporation 2246 N. When I sold my other '78 280Z this past summer it had 312,xxx miles on the original engine. No rebuild just lots of TLC and regular oil changes. The tranny had never been rebuild either.... They are great cars and can run a long time with care.....
