  7. Wow, this took me WAY too long to add photos . . . Tires have no punctures, and rims all hold air just fine.
  8. Came out of my 240Z a while ago. Looks like it holds 2 6" speakers (or smaller) and covers the rear of the Z. Made of plastic and ready to install. Has a small crack in the top right but nothing horrible (see picture, it to the top left of the right speaker, with tap covering it) Price: FREE picked up mission Viejo,CA 92691 Phone: 949-444-2251
  9. Moving sale! I have a set of 4 (and 1 spare tire) of the old school 4 lug 14" MAG wheels with pretty much new (but old) tires on them. The rims and tires have been sitting for about 4 years in my garage, but have no punctures or issues. The rims are in decent shape (pictures to come soon) and have no dents in them and hold air fine (like I said, they worked perfectly fine when I had them on the z some time ago). With a little TLC these bad boys would look great on a resto 240/60/80Z. Price: FREE in Mission Vijeo,CA 92691 contact me @ 949-444-2251
  10. I am just going to go that route. I thought I could just pull everything over from the old MC and put it onto the new 280ZX MC. But, I guess not haha. The only thing that scares me a little is that you added that piece of copper piping. I don't have the means/tools to get and cut that piping. I also noticed that you are the only one that has talked about having to do that when installing the MC. Any reason for this?

I bought the parking light upgrade harness from MSA and cleaned off the terminals and replaced the fuse. No more problems. Everything seems to be working as it should . . . . for now. :-) I didn't have any shorts in actuality, it was just the corrosion and amount of heat. Thank you everyone for your help.
  12. Just talked to them, and they won't be replacing the valves or anything. They only reseal the MC. So, I'm basically SOL Why isn't life doing me any favors?
  13. Well, just realized that this is only a "send in and rebuid" order. So, I have to send them my part, and they rebuild it. I'm going to have to call them to make sure that they will rebuild it with all new screws and valves, etc. Since mine doesn't have any of those haha.
  14. Good to hear. Shipping was pretty bad ($14) but not a big deal since it covers the return shipping of the core. Any tests I could do to both of them before putting it on the car, to see if one is in better shape then the other? Since I would be able to choose which one to use . . . why not? But if it isn't worth the hassle then I'll just go with the rebuilt one from Rock Auto. :-)
  15. We will see, it said it was in stock. I did read about the 1" Wilwood, but I didn't want to purchase an entirely new $140 MC, when I had already bought my current MC for $65, now the replacement is 40, rather then $140. If this one fails, then I'll just say screw it and buy the 1". Not a big deal either way. :-) The car is only driven a few times a month.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and just purchased a new one from Rock auto. Would make things easier and it isn't to big of a dent in the wallet. Just wish the guy that sold me it would have told me it was missing all the important parts HAHA.
  17. You serious? I can't believe this. I had this sitting up in my closet for like 8 months waiting to be installed only to find out it doesn't have all the parts I need! Hope I can find the guy . . Anyway, I going with rear disk 240SX calipers so I wouldn't need the special screw right? Also, I thought that I only needed those valves in the output to the brake lines if I was using Drum rear brakes. Since I'm using calipers, I shouldn't need them. So, would I be able to simply unhook my stock lines from the MC and connect them to the new MC?
  18. I ended up buying a 15/16 280 MC from Matt Hurr a while ago here. I am upgrading to 4x4 S12+8 calipers front, and 240sx rear. I currently have the stock 240Z MC and when I opened the box this is what I had . . . MC Fluid Cups Filters Fluid Cup brackets (to tighten around openings) Now, I noticed that I didn't have any of the bleeder valves, what type do I need to buy to put into the SIDE of the MC? Can I just take the Front and Rear Lines out of the bottom of my stock 240Z MC, and run them into the bottom of my new 15/16 MC? Do I need to buy any adapters? Finally I see a small hole on the opposite side of the MC's bleeder valves. It looks like a screw can go into there, but there is none. Do I need a screw for that hole? Bench Bleeding When bench bleeding, I know that I loosen the bleeder valves and have hoses going from them back into each respective cup. But what about the bottom holes (the holes that the actual brake lines connect to)? Will I need to block those? I will be doing the bench bleeding OFF the car, so I won't have any lines to block the bottom holes. I was thinking of doing the BB on the car, but thought it would be better to do it off to be able to do it slowly. But, please share your thoughts. I've already searched and read and found directions. But no-one talks about the bottom holes when BB off the car. Thanks Everyone for the help!

What should i use to scrub the pieces? I know that I bought some new bulbs from ebay, and on the bottom they only have 1 dot, where as the ones they replaced had 2 dots. Could this be the problem as well? Also, I figure it would be a good idea to replace the fuse with a breaker so as I test, I don't go through 20+ fuses :-) I could just press it back in to begin testing again. Could save me some $$ on fuses. It would also rule out the fuse connectors as the problem. Just my thinking . . . what do you think?

So, I am having some problems with my turn signal fuse. It seems it somehow blew out and is now blowing out fuses all the time. It actually melted off the original fuse holder and is being a PIA to fix. I was thinking of just pulling the wires out and putting in a panel mounted Here's the breaker I'm thinking of wiring it to . . Link to page Do you think this would resolve the problem?

I think I found some clips that would work. They are bigger then the standard clip, but don't impede the movement of the mechanism. I think it should do nicely. :-) Will post pictures later today.

Everyone, Thank you for the help!! I'll be shooting down to ACE tomorrow after work to see if they got it. If not them, then I'll head to Home Depot. Hopefully I'll be able to get these puppies in soon.

I don't have any near me. Do you know where else I could pick it up? I'm guessing ACE hardware would carry it? Do you happen to have a part number?

I'll be doing this tonight. I also spoke with Les @ Classic Datsun (great guy BTW) and he said if he had time he'll give a look around and see what he can find. I'm going to continue looking around the garage, just incase I can save everyone the hassle. :-)

@Captain : Well . . . I'm super stoked this morning. I tore around cleaning up the garage and found the part I needed. BUT, now I need that damn little push pin to keep that part on the lock itself. I just can't win can I
