  1. Alright guys, I've tried to search over and over again but maybe its just me or something is weird about the search function here. My Air Flow Meter boot has some cracks in it and I am thinking of replacing it with some rubber intake hose clamps. You guys think this is a good idea? I don't really want to go with the stock AFM boot b/c it doesn't look very smooth and probably will crack on me again. Also, I am sure this has been thought of before. Please chime in and please let me know if I am not search properly.
  2. thx for the response all, I think I am going for the aluminum one. Its a little $$ but the aluminum is so pretty..hehe.
  3. I have a 1975 280z project that I've been working on and there so many things that I need to do. But I guess I should prioritize things and do them in the sequence of most urgent. My radiator is leaking and I am considering upgrading to an Aluminum radiator. My question is, should I go this route or stick with the OEM style radiators? Also where should I consider buying an Aluminum radiator from? I can't seem too many vendors out there selling the aluminum radiator for a decent price. Thanks in advance.

thx for the reply, yeah hopefully I can at least get the front areas of the interior painted with por-15. Btw with the por do I need a spray gun or can I just use pain brushes? I don't have much experience with painting.

Hey, I am considering having my interior redone. I am in the process of removing the tar from my interior and fix minor rust spots and then have it paint with por-15 before I take it to a shop to have the custom carpet kit install. I am planning on having the interior installation done at Z car garage in San Jose, CA. My current question is that I had a quote over the phone for around 1k and the fellow said that for that price the work includes: tar removal (which I am doing so I can get it painted with por-15), sound deadening installation on all the panels including doors, and then laying the carpet kit over it (price varies depending on which kit, however the one I wanted is about 1k). Just wondering if you guys had experience with these guys at Z Car Garage and is that a fair price for the work? Below is a picture of ZCG's Zs with the carpet kit that I like. <a href="http://img522.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kurt8mr5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/1298/kurt8mr5.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

Hey all, I used to own a blue 2+2 280Z and then sold it and now I am back with a green 75 280Z. Currently I am working on getting the interior redone. So the interior is pretty much stripped. I am currently removing the tar (using the dry ice method and its coming along well) and getting a small rust spot fixed. Here are some pictures and I have some questions. thx in advance. 1)Regarding the rust spot in picture (behind the passenger side seat) in picture 4&5 - how much do you guys think it cost for it to be properly repair? 75-150 bucks? Picture 1 & 2: My green machine <a href="http://img90.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0813ti7.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/6696/img0813ti7.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> <a href="http://img155.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0823bh1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/2071/img0823bh1.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> Picture 3: Interior being stripped: <a href="http://img90.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0782fy8.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1034/img0782fy8.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> Picture 4&5: <a href="http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0807te9.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/9233/img0807te9.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> <a href="http://img149.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0790xb1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/6527/img0790xb1.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

hey guys! I am fairly new here and to Zs as well. I am considering reaplcing/ restoring my weatherstripping since the ones on my car are all worned out/harddened. I've been running some searches on ebay but it seems that OEM weatherstripping aren't cheap especially if I want to restore the whole car. However I found a couple of kits on some websites and I don't think they are OEM. Here is one I found: http://www.blackdragonauto.com/features/z/zrs1-1975-datsun-280z.htm My question is, will this kit be a good idea or should I just save money and get the OEM parts???

I recently purchased my first Z! Its a 75 280Z 2+2 body. I'll try to post a picture of it in just a bit. Well I've always been a honda guy so this is a change for me. I am planning to do mainly restorative work on the car. Just little things here and there and then using it as a daily driver. Hope I'll get to know a lot of you guys! http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6414/img0380hi5.jpg' alt='img0380hi5.jpg'>
