off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure the viscous R230 from the 300zx, is a 3.7, just to let you know as you were thinking of dragging. Good luck

thanks for the info, I undrstand that bolting tripples onto a stock non cammed l24 or l28 wont do much, probably decrease performance. As for the application on my question, the tripples will be going onto to an L28 which has a rally cam and 14:1 comp, as well as no accessories, everything will be electric. etc.. Just wanted to get some dirt on the brad delorto. Thanks again....

I know most dont like the tripple set up, but Im currently interested with tripple delorto 40's, on the short intake necks. Does anyone have some advice for me? I dont know much about delortos are webers any better? Thanks for the help.?
  4. hey Im sorry to hear about your sister. Gotta say you were right on with your thread though. The whole reason I started with Z's mostly 240's is cause I got sick of these rich kids in my area getting a civic from mom and dad and then free flowing the exhaust with a 4'' resonator; thus making their car even slower. Then they pull up next to me with my tuned 240z and try to race. Lets just say Those civics have never had a chance. Im glad there are still people out there who don't want those convieniences as well. I too have one eye on the tach and the other on my 7-11 coffee, how strange. Thanks for the insight!

Im planning my next project as I aquired another 73 240Z for an amazing price, with virtually no rust, Im not joking. Anyway I thought about the infamous L28TT but its true its custom everything and I DONT have the funding. Does anyone have information reguarding RB motors? I've been quoted $1252 US, for a 94 RB25DET+ gear box. I understand its comming from New Zealand, Just want an idea (a.) if they can be ordered; if so from where, and is this is a complete motor i.e. head and all or short block, and (b.) At what price, including shipping. Thanks all

zmefly, so with triple 40mm downdrafts there would be a performance increase to be had, is what your saying right? (for my application of course) What about doubles, I think I heard about someone with success with 45mm doubles. Anyway just wanted to clarify the identity of those webers you sudjested. thanks

240znz, Im interested about these RB motors and from what I read from your linked thread (rb25de) they're all from skylines; non, single turbo, and double etc.. right? What year skyline motors are these and what kinda prices are we talking. I noticed someone had the RB26TT in a 240z, must be a blast but did you sell any limbs for it. Also the s20 head Im still not sure on, I dont understand its application. i.e. is it only for these RB motors and moderately priced for that application and only $15k for the 2.4. Just trying to choose right for the next 240 project without dropping in the mass produced 350 that gives a wonderfull 14sec 1/4mile, sarcasim at its best. thanks a lot,

It still sounds like it might be posible without a billion dollars. I didn't want to go too high in HP boost as I care about my motor but I figure 50 more above 3,000rpm is worth looking into. Where would the injectors need to be installed? Is it simple tap and die work or what, Im sorry but I dont know much about it. How much do these kits run.
  10. I too have a 73 and after I added poly bushings and a rear sway bar I must say its a rock. Drivability is much better as I like to be a little crazy on those country roads. You can also get a 20mm off a 2+2 to retro fit with instal kit #99996-E4010 from motorsport nissan. So I've heard. Im not a racer either but I think you'd be happy with one, you gotta stiffen up the soggy rear end!!

This is my 3rd thread, I dont have any more questions...I swear. OK I gotta great rally book on datsuns, Im not a rally guy but thats not important. I saw many 2.4 and 2.8's in there with cross-flo heads. So I've decided I want one along with many other things. They dont come from the USA, as some guy at a performance website said you cant get them in the states. SO where do you get them? Just curious, I probably couldn't afford it anyway but whatever. OK no more questions, Im done, thanks.

I have a (N36) intake, 240z ballance tube on a great 2.8 motor. Rotation assembly is balanced, its really well set up all around, ignition, stage one cam, etc.. I dont know much about nitros except that its usually used with turbo motors as it cools intake aswell as adding the horsepower. Are there kits for datsun's .i.e non aspirated?, injectors sylnoid switches etc.. sorry for spelling. Is it a good idea? Come on lord just give me the magic solution of more power at the touch of a button!! Thanks!

Ahh another wonderful question. I'll run it real quick, I've got a 73 240 with a well set up deap breathing 2.8 litre. Theres a description under the thread (webers) I've got a stock R-180, I want an lsd but also want the 3.9, the turbo zx 3.7lsd is to high and the 4.11lsd from the front diff of the nissan 4x4 is to low. Anyone know how I can get a 3.9lsd without paying a small fortune? PLus are R-200's better or beefier than the R-180? Thanks a lot. with my rear end dillema, heh heh gotta love punns right?

thanks for the input, I too love that (weber) echaust note but I think Im gonna stick with my su's. Thanks again

I know, I know, I dont like them either but I gotta ask. Im a performance junkie and love the su's for their simplicity and mixture adjustment. Heres whats up, I got a slightly bored over 2.8 F54 block rotation assembly is balanced. Shaved P90 head with 10:1 and crane stage one cam and competition grind. N36 intake 70' su's with sm needles, electronic ignition, the works coil etc. It runs like a freakin beast and I love it. Does anyone think Id get some more performance form webers? IM just not to familiar with them as I've ALWAYS used su's, I've heard so much controversy I'd love to put it to an end. Anyone have dyno results? Thanks a lot. By the way I'm new here on the site and my name is glowz not because Im a dork its because I got a lime green 73' 240, under parking lot lights it actually seems to glow, ......plus..... I couldnt think of a better name, later,
