I like the car but the seller gives me a bad vibe. those mirrior look out of place for one and that are looks to green for az this time of the year we haven't had any rain for months. (i know sounds weird but i notice these things )

two words "camera gear" it all started innocent enough i just wanted to get a dslr to take better pictures, but it snowballs fast. and now i have 2 dslr's one for new the new digital lens and now one that can use older slr lens. my cb7 accord that i just picked up has been eating up money now po ftl

glad i am not the only one. I bought my z from a local in town so it's not like they haven't seen it in town before. It still doesn't stop them, oh well it must be that blue color that attracts them:p

thats a sad story, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure everytime you take one of your Z's out for a cruise he will be smiling down on you. you have my condolences.

poor guy on one hand it's great to hear he got it back, but on the other you can just see the heartbreak in his post about its condition. my heart goes out to him.

I have to drive my z on my days off because i get pulled over by local pd because they want to talk about the car. i don't mind really, just gives me a chance to show off my baby. it never fails when i get gas, or go to a grocery store someone always notices the z .

the other day i received a certified letter in the mail, I picked up the letter from the post office. It was a form for power of attorney for the transfer of title on my 280z(wtf!). Now i purchased my z about 5 months ago and the title has been in my name since i bought it, so i called the original owner of my z. I left him a message to call me back, and then proceeded to look at my title, the power of attorney form, and my 280z. I took a look at the vin#s on all three, and there was the problem. seems like whoever inspected my z got one digit in my vin number wrong. a 7 looked like a one. so i took my z over to the mvd got the old girl reinspected, and the correct title in hand. soon after the original owner calls me back and i explain what happened to him. after which he informs me that he has some spare z parts that he wanted to give me. score!!! I went to his house and he gave me the original intake, afm, 4 new struts, a new alternator, a brand new oem camshaft, the original throttle body (the one i have on there is way bigger) and a host of other misc parts. not bad for one certified letter .

it's not exactly stock, it has a k&n cai, headers, exhaust, and according to the previous owner a upgraded cam. but i take that as a grain of salt as theres no proof towards it.

oh i don't have to worry about it passing emissions since i don't have emissions in my county. it's good to know that it is not harming anything though.

Hi all i noticed on my 78 280z that all the emissions equipment has been removed ie cat converter, air pump, and diverted valve. my question is will the absence of these components make my z run better or worse?

I love that area!! i was born in lompoc and just about every year my g/f and i make a cruise up the pac. I will be going again this year in august to the nor/cal acura legend meet. reading your post makes, envision what i will be experiencing again in august. heres a pic of my last pac cruise, someday i hope to take my z on this cruise. any pics of your cruise?

I replaced my thermostat for an oem 180 degree thermostat, and replaced my fan clutch and i am still a overheating a little. like about a little bit over the halfway mark, after highway driving about three quarters to hot. ambient temp outside was 110 with little humidity. any ideas?

thanks for all the comments guys! the tracks were isolated and not connected to anything so i had no worry about a train coming. although a train did pass about 1/4 mile away and i got a little scared, just had to reassure myself that the track was isolated from the rest of the track.
