Hi I would like to have a set of konig wheels on my 240z, may be in 14" or 15". Anybody knows someone that sells them at good price? I read in some "old" posts before that, there was a company that sold them 55 USD per wheel! Does anyone knows if that still available? Another question that I have is what`s the size of the original tires on the 240z! It is 175/70/R14 or 175/80/R14? Thank You Filipe Azvedo

Hi Always contact with Aaron, and Iam very pleasent with him. Very nice guy! Sorry Sal goes away! Hope MSA grows up in business and continue to have and reproduced parts that was not available! I have a book here that I bought from Amazon, that talks about THE Z STORE, and I think they should try to make even more rare parts and try Nissan starts to make more parts that might be unavailable soon. I guess there is a great demand from parts from over the world. Thank You Filipe Azevedo
  5. Hi I like to see the mirrors, they look great! It`s your car! Enjoy it as much as possible. Your car is your car, it must be at your own taste! May be in the future if you don`t like to see them anymore, just trade for another that you like, is just simple as that! Filipe Azevedo

From that point I start the restoration program, that I intend to do it. When it will be ready, it will be only for weekends and sunny days. I would like to see this car finished very soon. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27556

  10. Hi I saw this Ebay auction a few weeks ago, It seems that exist an error, that is a 240z, not 240c. Nissan Dealers tell that it was always a Nissan car! About the price... well it´s a 240z...and it`s start to growing up... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160139888688&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D160139888688%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 By the way, how much can cost one of the 37 or 38 240z that Nissan rebuilt? Thank You Filipe A

  13. HI I voted for a air conditioned, that my car doesn`t have it and may be a diferent wheels to put in non stock shows. My car has original 5 speed trans, magnesium wheels, it has plenty of new OEM nissan parts and even a new dash, so what I put also inside was may be a Bond girl. Tahnk You Filipe A
  14. Very nice car and has you (US residents) can see this is a rare sight in Europe. Very nice car. Filipe Azevedo
  15. HI Nismospek Very nice translation? Are you Portuguese? Hi Juergen Yes, these beautifull Z cars are a rare sight in Europe, and now is usually to see some units coming from USA to, Germany, Belgium, Luxemberg, Portugal; UK. People are starting to know it´s value! 240z is a car forever. Filipe A
  16. Hi I just need one for drivers side, but please send me a PM with the price for one and pair, and their condition. Thank You Filipe Azevedo
  17. Hi So anyone can sell me the front metal buckets? Please send me a PM. Thank You Filipe Azevedo
  18. Hi Carl The first time that I saw the 240z, I just stay, may be an hour, to look at it and said... "Is this a Datsun?... Them I tried many times to buy one, but I didin`t work at time, so I couldn`t afford it, (I had 17 years old) and my father always told me that it was junk... Some years after the search begins, I had to find a good one, but many of them were in really bad shape and very expensive, for example, another 240z that you will see in the next link, the guy bought it for 6000€, near 8000 USD, I guess in USA it was a parts car only. Jut get an idea… http://p086.ezboard.com/Restauro-de-um-Datsun-240Z-de-1971/famigosdosjaponesesantigosfrm42.showMessage?topicID=153.topic Them once a saw a 240z (my car) for sale, I don`t like to tell it, because I think this is told around the world, but my 240z was really from an old man, mine is sure (because sometimes sellers said it was from an old man or woman that work near home, few miles, excellent condition and sometimes it has twice it`s miles, and it was the son that run the car since ever). So I negociated the car about 2 years, the engine didn`t work very well, because it needs a spark plug wires, so keeping lower the price (PS at the time I didn`t know what was the problem, so I had to be carefull) and at the end of almost 2 years I bought it. My restoration project start, because I love my car, the 240z!!!! So, with my project and my 240z that I love to much, I want to show people that this car is very alive around the world, want to show that in the US we can get all the parts, and it can be new, and it means OEM Nissan parts. I want to show also that, for me the 240z has the same value as a Porsche 911 at the time, because it is more reliable, it is strong enough, it wins many races, like Safari… and many others. Even today around the world, In France the MonteCarlo, it shows it`s value. I must tell that the prices in Portugal and in Europe are growing up very fast. I don`t want to show here nothing with what I will say, but I have a guy that has a great car collection (Aston Martins, Porsches, Bentleys, Toyota 2000 GT also…) and he offers me for my car when it finishes near 35000€, more them 45000 USD, because in Portugal this car is rare and it has almost all the options that Nissan has for the time, INCLUDING the original magnesium wheels (same as 432Z ), the front and rear spoiler from BRE style it was all standard. I have some friends in USA that never had seen the turn switch with high light beam, and in Portugal it was standard also. (also shown in my page) Now Carl, that`s why on 4 page appears your`s 240z (that I didn`t know it was yours that 2 photos that I collect from a website shows the few cars that I saw with the “option”, like the vinil roof and decals. In that page I want to show the diferences between some options that were available on Zs in Europe and in USA. With the beginning of my restoration I had bought through Ebay, MSA, BlackautoDragon, Datsun Restoration, Datsun Spirit, many parts for me and for my friends that started to restore their cars, they didn`t know that USA has many parts, so I gave them all the information possible and help them too. I want to increase the value of the Z, because it deserves it! Filipe A
  19. Hi My only problem is to know if the fiberglass is strong enough to put the headlight covers? Thank You
  20. Hi I bought a few days ago a pair of aftermarket JDM headlight covers with metal rings. My 240z is an early 1971 and I nottest that he has 1 headlight fiberglass bucket and one metal. The question is should I trade one of them to have them equaly? Does it fits better in metal ones only? Does the fiberglass hold the rivet nuts well Here is the link that I read that. http://rudel87-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/covers/lightcovers.html If I should trade, I appreciate to buy one of them to put it on my car. If anyone has it (buckets) for sale I might buy it. Thank You Filipe Azevedo
  21. Hi I have also an early 1971 240z, and bought a M/C from late 71 to 73, and nottest that the reseivor and diferrent the big one is at second place now,so the only thing that I have to do is swap the brake lines the front to rear and vice-versa? I bought mine on Ebay, it`s from bendix unit, do you think it will works good, because I read another posts and said that will not work properly. Thank You Filipe Azevedo Thank You
  22. Hi I hope it will be very good, like an concours 240z! This time period of year is a little bit complicate, because hollidays slows the job, but hope to have it ready to run very soon. I also bought to put on my 240z the original headlight chrome light covers. I like to see them on Z! Thank You Filipe A
  23. Hi Yes, mines has date stamps on them, but as time has passed and they were painted, and it does`nt nottest very weel. I tought these wheels came only in the Fairlady 432, but appears that Japan and Portugal has very good friendship relations, and all Portuguese cars that were imported through "Entreposto Comercial" at the time has it, and it has 5 wheels per car! That means some books have wrong information about that. Someone at UK Z CLub told that Portuguese HLS30 is one of the best, because It has all extras and options available. I love very much my car, that is going to be painted in 907 Raving Green. I wil post pictures from this time on. Filipe A
  24. In Portugal, this strong and lovely car has only near 50 examples on the country. It`s very value because it`s rare! Please look at this auction on UK Ebay at NIssan Dealers 240z! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160139888688&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/160139888688_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQfviZ1 One thing that I would like too debate with you, it`s the wheels that all Portuguese 240z cars have. I already read in some books and that wheels are the magnesium wheels, the same that were sold with the Fairlady 432, please see the next link and look at the pictures, and see the white Fairlady 432, look at them and see my wheels in restoration project... THEY ARE THE SAME... We were very lucky to have them and all the Portuguese cars have them. http://www.saudihotwheels.com/vb/showthread.php?t=326 http://www.megagaleria.com/pictures/Pic_9522_14.jpg http://www.megagaleria.com/pictures/Pic_9522_15.jpg That was currently proved by Nissan dealers, so many books should be written again Filipe A
  25. Hi Everybody Take a look at this restoration on my 1971 240z! Hope you enjoy the pictures! http://p086.ezboard.com/Restauro-Datsun-240z/famigosdosjaponesesantigosfrm42.showMessage?topicID=128.topic The restoration is not finished, but hope to get it soon! Have very firends on USA that help me get stuff! Filipe Azevedo
