is this the only major 240K forum?
i know these cars are dwindling in numbers and are rare in general. but i had no idea they were that special-interest. it seems as if this is "it" insofar as a major discussion group/forum for wider knowledge and resources. other forums that mention the 240K/C110 seem only to have the occasional thread here and there but not an actual corner forum devoted specifically to this make of car. and the skyline specific forums lump the C110 into the "classic skylines" category, with very few members even mentioning much about the 240K/C110. it's all about the R30s and R31s, with brief passing thought devoted to older Skylines. and if mentioned, it's nearly always the C10 GT-R, but nearly never the C110. i kind of don't quite understand why either. i think the body style of the C110 is much more interesting than the C10. don't get me wrong, i love the KPGC10 and it's brethren. i just prefer the C110. so, then, this is it? that's rather amazing if true. we are among a very small group of human beings sharing this common interest.

yes i'm looking at the brochures now. they're all mixed from the 1970s to the R33 GT-R. the C110 is among them. as is the C210/211. i believe i bought all of those from you. a good amount. i bid on other stuff as well but couldn't monitor the auctions well enough so i got outbid on a couple of things by about 50 cents. do you still have literature auctions going on?

hmm. small world. my name on ebay is "kingminosr32." but my email is bonzelite@yahoo.com i wonder what i may have bought from you? it's frustrating to have sold your car when it was so nearly perfect. at least nearly as you wanted it. it is by far one of the best i've ever seen. you're very good at what you do, matey.

Another 240K on ebay
i'm happy to see at least there are takers. it can be restored. seems most of it is there. would need lots of work to get back clean and fresh. here is another one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Datsun-240K-skyline-Race-rally-prepared_W0QQitemZ260123810304QQihZ016QQcategoryZ102220QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i am currently cobbling funds to make the rest of payments on a 240K from a guy in arizona --who bought it from a guy on here in australia. i won't make any waves until i have paid for it and driven it home. then it's to be converted to a GT-R look, like yours. i'm going to paint it red, though. i'd like to meet up w/you at some point reagardless. i have an R32 GT-R (taken apart of course) and a few others. name is "chad" by the way. good to meet you.

240K on ebay
they buy it now price is still way too high. i should have clarified that. you won't find me jumping on the auction, in other words. the new starting price is about what they go for in Japan. and for the most part i'm never impressed by anything made by Veilside.

240K on ebay
well i guess that later time is right now. it's on ebay again. with price lowered to more realistic level. it will still cost about USD$3000 to import and register it. but if you're down under it's no so bad for the shape it's in.

240K on ebay
so i suppose we shall wait to see it yet again offered for sale at a later time...

240K on ebay
yes, that may be more the case. he wants too much for it and expects larger profit than is actually warranted or realistic.

What’s the main differences between the 2 and 4 door 240K
upon superficial glance it appears the entire front clip is the same. i'd bet, too, that door handles and all running gear under the car are exactly the same. i'd say even the firewall is the same. i'm not too familiar with these cars yet, so i'm only guessing. are the interiors the same, ie, the dash? seats? steering wheels? belts? dome lights? things un-swappable would be doors, glass, rear 1/4. if wheelbase is the same, perhaps the diff and driveshaft are identical. as well as all suspension. i'm only assuming.

240K on ebay
wow. i had no idea that car carries such "baggage." the car is indeed nice, but maybe he subconsciously doesn't want to sell it.
-
240K on ebay
listing is incorrect in it's title, but the car appears pretty nice.

save them before crushing
i'm glad to see that those C110s were spared. perhaps the shells can be rebuilt back up to complete cars, given enough time, money, and focus.

'72 Skyline on EBay
those cars are so rare in the united states it would appear that if one was aiming to get their hands on one, they'd jump on it and go take a visit. this will send a clear message to the seller and build a trust relationship. as well, the seller may know how to get parts. and if a would-be buyer were to visit first, that would open a lot of possible doors as it is largely about who you know. as is basically anything. the car seems fine, though. with typical old car issues. but for a classic i'd say it's worth checking out because those cars are getting only rarer. and i've heard of total pieces of rusted sh!t in japan, ie, the C10 series, selling for 15 grand. and this one pictured is in very good shape, it's already imported; so it's a contender.

'72 Skyline on EBay
that's a nice car. 15 grand i'd say is worth it. but expensive. wow.
