I have just got back from Winton (Raceway) where we played all weekend. For those who know the circut we used the short track. My 240 with trick susp. and 300 zx brakes but a stock engine was pulling low 1.14s and cracking 110 mph on the back straight. How much fun can you have for $98.00?????????

Yes. it is all very well to go that fast but it helps to stop. Four wheel ventalated disks help. The one problem I found with a prolonged high speed run was that the flywheel became loose causing a frightening noise. Thought I had tossed a rod. It didnt actually cut loose but it was a near thing.

Nice beast. A lot of 240s in Australia had those sunroofs but I believe that they were aftermarket. Just a popular thing at the time.

My 240 has had almost everything modified ie suspesion, brakes, gearbox carbs extractors wheels tyres etc. The only thing standard is the 260 engine. With the suspension mods the car sits well at 120 mph +. Be interesting to see what it will do with the new engine (when money allows) An interesting point is how fast it goes around corners?

We have only just recieved May issue on the shelves here in Aus. Guess we will just have to wait.

I have a 240 & a 260 2+2 both a beautiful in their own way. the 240 is clean with uninterupted curves but the 260 has something too. hard to decide. I think I'd better get a 280ZX just to have a balanced outlook. As for prisons...................when it was announced that you would be transported to Australia for committing a crime, crime increased 10 fold in England just to get out of the rain.

A grille badge would be a good idea. They are collectablr and usually end up on walls rather than on the car.
