Progress on my 240z
- All out of ideas! Please help me!
Great link. Thanks!- New Hot Wheels 240Z
Cool! I just placed a bid for one. Glad to see the Classic series features a Z.- Looking at two Zs, which do I buy?
..Buy the 280......something new for you.- Anyone try Fuzions?
I'll say it is probably because they are a stickier version that yiou tried. Mine are H-rated. Perhaps that has made the difference.- Peter Brock offers rare 1971 2.5 Trans-Am Championship Poster. 23"x32".
Wow, congrats!- What came with my Z
No pic but I have a black Style Auto jacket with an interesting "Datsun Z" patch on it. Pretty cool. I'll wear it to the West Coast Nationals in April.- Anyone try Fuzions?
YES! Another boost of confidence! I've tried Pirellis, Yokohamas, and even Generals. The Generals suck by far, but I was on a tight budget. I am looking forward to trying out Fuzions. So far my favorite has been the Yokohamas.- Anyone try Fuzions?
Great, just what I want to hear! They seem to have bang for the buck. The reviews on tirerack.com are overall positive.- 240z in Europe
Hmmmm.......I will consider this. Granted, I am not very experienced in snow driving. I suppose my perspective would change if I was for competent in this area of Z driving. Very interesting. Thanks!- The speedometer has 160, we have took it to 155mph.
130 mph on the 15 North going to Vegas one night. She overheated on me. I wish I could've remembered the RPM's. Stock with crappy tires back then.- Anyone try Fuzions?
I have a pair on the rear of my 300. They feel great. But, has anyone tried the Fuzion Hri's on an S30? I'm going for 215/60/r15. I'm looking for good cornering, but also comfort if possible. These are not for competition use. Any experience/input is welcomed. Thanks guys.- 240z in Europe
No rear wheel drive vehicle fares well in the snow. My girlfriend and I almost died in the mountains and this was with snow chains. However, nothing can really stand up to black ice. Really scary experience. On the way down we hit a snowbank. We were stuck for a few hours in the snow. We witnessed 5 or so crashes as cars kept sliding down the hill. One truck almost hit my 280. I almost lost her. Luckily some locals helped me shovel my Z out of the snowbank, and pushed it back onto the icy road. We crawled down for 2 hours. Months later she entered the bodyshop.- What did you find under your seat?
.....in the 280 I found a bunch of "Love Is" clip outs, and a spare fan belt. in the 300ZX I found bobby pins, some Nascar toy tire preassure gauge, dog food, coins, and a button. in my old Vanagon, maps from various cities in the US, a sunshield, and a container to hold urine.- What did you find under your seat?
Wow. Not in a Z, but in an old van that my friend's dad owned was discovered a ransom note to the authorities. It read something like "meet me here with the money or you will find this man's head in a shoe box." I believe the van was once used by the FBI. Go figure.- 240z in Europe
Ah, another reason to despise us.- Distributor cap--MSA vs Courtesy
Is the MSA part aftermarket?- Does a “Numbered Z have additional value?
From my understanding all limited edition Z's are going to be worth more. For example: black pearl edition 280Z 84 AE 300ZX 10th anniv edition like you mentioned- to fix or not to fix...
.....I understand the temptation in upgrading to an L28. But, why not consider sticking with the L24? More and more 240's are no longer equipped with the standard L24. It's not a bad thing as there are advantages to this. However, I think it would be cool to preserve that original sort of aesthetic.....mechanically speaking that is. Then again, $$$ talks.- the 300zx turbo

....I love dated advertising material......especially some of the old TV commercials for the Z & ZX. "Black Gold!"- looking to buy second car- not new to maintenance
I concur the with general concencus; The more you raise your budget, the less problematic. Last year I bought an 86 300ZX for $1,900. Overall in good shape, but recently has been giving me some problems here and there. If I would have saved up another grand or so, I think I could've saved myself some grief in the long run. The 300ZX is my daily, but she is to a degree a project. That is NOT what I wanted upon purchasing the vehicle. By the way, to answer your "how quick" question, a 240Z will do 0-60 in about 8 seconds. a 280Z will do it in about 9. Those are stock stats, but there are other factors that could come into play.- Z-Tops
...Thanks. For some reason I couldn't get the direct link. Weird.- Insurance for collector Z car?
Wow, I will look into this. Thanks!- Z-Tops
.....Anyone seen any S30 with the Z-tops? The Z car Home page has a tid bit of info on this extreme rarity. Just wondering if any out there have survived, as I understand only a handful were ever given this treatment. http://zhome.com/ ...Look under 70-78 accesories. - All out of ideas! Please help me!
