2010 and i'm going to get this done, gave up on finding some tips here, so i decided to make some my self. Got some 2.5 inch stainless cut, rolled some perforated stainless and turned a ring on my lathe, so in the weekend i'm going to test fit this. I hope the sound will be more "hollow" Chris
  3. If he want the power band to kick in at 2-2500 RPM, wouldn't a .490 be to big then ? You could also choose to have a cam re ground, as an excample you could send Delta a mail, some cam info here Chris

Or you could build a franken engine, with the diesel block, a gasoline head, a L20B front cover ect. Normal asking price is 400$, is it worth it. Chris
  10. Ron, the auction in UK say item location is UK, that is fraud, if i was to order a set i would have to pay a crap load in tax and paperwork :-( Chris

  15. Clip of some kind ? sure sounds like a ZX dizzy, try to look at the mudule, do it say E12-80 or E12-90 ? Back to the start. Is your valves correctly adjusted. Check that you have your timing right. What coil are you running and are your BR by passed. Re gap your plugs, to big a gap and weak spark is bad. When you tried thar regulator, what preassure did you set it to. If all above is okay, it's time to do what Babalouie say, start with the float level, dunno about weber but in Del's the fuel should be 27 millimeter below the top of the bowl. Chris

As Arne said and i bet that there's not many G-nose floading around in UK, it could bring in some good cash or it could be a hard item to sell, if you get the car you could try to test the water at the UK Z forum. Chris

This is what you should do, take off dome and piston, block off the holes in the bottom of piston, put the piston inside the dome, without spring, now support the piston with a finger, turn the dome so the piston will face down, put your other hand under the piston to catch and let go of the piston while counting how long it will take to come out, if it stays up there, you have a clearance problem, do the same to the other piston, if one piston comes out faster than the other, try to swap, the time it takes to come out should be almost the same, if none of the pistons are sticking, tlober is right, the problem is in your needle and nozzles. Hope this make sense Chris

And i third this, i went with a oil made for diesel engines when i broke in my re build engine, it contains ZDDP, can't remember the viscosity, but i have no preassure issues and no leaks.Chris

Andy, i know of that site and that was one of the things that made me believe i got the wrong base, but what about front cover, i have no idea of what kind i have, do different covers demands different bases ? It's the one at the left i got. Andy, i will not do anything to my advance plate, this is a brand new dizzy i got hold on and if i tell you the price, you will kick my nut's, so let's just say i got one he.. of a deal. Mike, that one looks all wrong, do you know where it coms from ? I have started to search after a dizzy base on other forums and if anyone here have one let me know. Maybe one day, i will start up my lathe and mill to fabricate a billet aluminium base where #1 is where #1 should be. Chris

I might be wrong, but if your car is dieseling, then a good place to start will be to check if you got ignition and carburation right, what spark plug are you running ? Chris
