I'm curious to know what kind of E88 head you have, can you post a photo and also a measurement of the valves size. Chris

Front end 'spook' options..
I think it also could have been a lack of a metric screw, that could have made the PO bend it and use the lower hole, when i got my car the grille was mounted with wrong screw in a smaller size in the uppe hole:ermm:. Chris

I'm 99% sure that i have the grill mounted in the upper hole on my car, i'm not close to the car at the moment so i can't have a look. Chris

Compression of an E88 head
Some claims that the N42 block is the best for a stroker, anyway for a California car i guess that combo isn't anything special, but if it were here where the avalibility of Z parts are very low, that combo would be special. Still your motor isn't stock, witch must make it special. Chris

Where do you keep your Owners Manual?
:stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid: I just mis read this and mentioned where i have my FSM, i think the owners manual is in some box, stored in my office. Chris BTW, i think the 280Z manual is bigger because of all the pages with shops that can take care of fuel injection problems .

I still need to figure out how the tips have to look, but i'm leaning against the Ansa look, the tips will also affect how it sounds. Chris

Shes new to me - My project 280z
Stephen, i think we can split it up in stock and non stock answers, i like this forum because it suits me and my build. I see CZCC as a forum for people wanting to keep it stock or for minor bolt on upgrades, cutting, swapping and such, people will be better of at hybridsz. And yes, lots of more patience here. Chris

Passange wheel has vertical play
"No spindels in the front", of course there is spindels in the front. Cutlass372, take off the caps, take out the clevis pins, tighten up the nuts, not more than the wheels still turn freely, re install the clevis pins and you are there, this is not rocket science. Chris
