  1. I have a thought here, when you say it feels like it is dropping one carb, is it then dropping one or does it just feel like it do ?. have your engine been getting new pistons/rings recently ?. It might sound stupid to ask this. Chris

  15. A stock re grind !!.... i have several stock cams and none of them needs re grind, have a cam ground to stock specs sounds silly to me, it must have been worn out alot to do that. Anyway if the old motor had the same symptoms it must be somewhere else. Sean is there any parts from the old motor that is still in use ? Chris

  19. Les i forgot to answer you on this, sorry man, i appreciate you will break up a set, it will however take some time before i get to the interior, when the time comes, wouldn't it then be possible for you to get the cushion from who ever makes them ? Chris

  21. He runs a Pertronix, but on what distributor, he should follow the FSM, like re building a motor, if all is spot on when done it should start right up. What about the fuel pump, is that the right one, if the arm is to short or have the wrong bend it could also make it starve. Chris

  24. I still think it's a timing problem, please list all that have been done /swapped. Have you measured the fuel preassure at the carbs, what kind of carbs, does it back fire, what is stamped in to the distributor, do the rotor line up with cylinder one on the distributor cap at TDC, are both rockers loose on cylinder one at TDC, if you take of the distributor do the oblong on the drive point 11.25 at TDC.
