Black... or gold?
That's sunny old London for you. The colour is called "Anthracite", and its an old BMW colour. Exactly matches the colour of the lower panel and front bumper of the G-nose on the original cars. Alan T.

1973 Safari Rally winning Z
HS30-H commented on HS30-H's comment on a gallery image in 03 (EXCLUSIVE) Nissan Japan Warehouse TourNo Gav, this particular car had a 'normal' non-Crossflow head ( although it was quite a different casting from production heads ). They tried to keep things mechanically simple for the Safari, as it was not an ultimate power event. This is indeed how the car finished the race, and they had to using baling wire to fix the headlamp and indicator back onto the nearside front after the loss of the wing, otherwise they would forfeit points in the rally. Those tyres ( with studs ) are actually off of the Monte Carlo car next to it - as they could not use the studded tyres while the Monte car was on display recently. It would have ripped the showroom floor up too much. Glad you got a 'feel' for the car and its achievement of winning the race. Nissan made a BIG thing out of winning the Safari so many times.

240z Pre-Wired Driving Lights?
I posted the originals of both of those shots on the forums, when we were discussing switches and Fog Lamps. What do you mean about the license plate? You want the original plate or the original photo? Alan T.

240z Pre-Wired Driving Lights?
Sorry, I went offline for a while. I have the part numbers on one of the original Japanese Factory Parts Catalogues, and they sometimes have good illustrations in them. I have a particular interest in the Japanese home-market cars, and especially the Sports Option and Competition parts and their dedicated lists. I could try to scan a picture of the Fog Lamps and their brackets if it would be any help? Alan T.

You are most welcome. Good luck with your quest ( make sure you have comfortable shoes and a good hat, as it might be quite a trek:classic: ). Alan T.

HS30-H commented on HS30-H's comment on a gallery image in 03 (EXCLUSIVE) Nissan Japan Warehouse TourTo get traction whilst stuck, the Navigator could jump out and stand on the 'steps' attached to the rear bumper - whilst holding onto the handles and bouncing up and down. Its true - believe me! You needed stuff like this on the East African Safari Rally back in the early Seventies. Toughest rally in the world back then.

Works KPGC110 GT-R race car
HS30-H commented on HS30-H's comment on a gallery image in 03 (EXCLUSIVE) Nissan Japan Warehouse TourI was thinking of you when I shot this, Alfadog. Because of the Oil Crisis ( they call it the 'Oil Shock' in Japan ) quite a lot of the projected race series were cancelled, and the Works KPGC110 cars never got to race. Would have been very entertaining, I'm sure. I agree about the colour scheme, but its very 'Period'...............
