  1. 4 WD would probably have pushed the price to over 30k, but hey.... that would be a kick a$$ option, huh?

I use to have THAT problem, at first it was because I had a short to the fuel pump, which i wired around. Then the pump whent out half way between Dallas and Houston! I changed it to a high volume pump that knocks and burrs like crazy, but NOW i have some major fuel pressure. My problem isnt related to fuel delivery. I'd like some more in depth description on how to stop the flow of radiator fluid through my carbs though. Everything else checks out, it must be vapor lock.

Vapor lock sounds like a pretty good suggestion. If I plug up that connecting pipe how will that effect the car? I mean it may solve one problem, but will it cause something else to go wrong or not work like it was supposed to?

well at idle you cant tell there is a problem, but when I try to accelerate my engine starts to sputter, but once i get moving it stops sputtering and if i make a short stop (like at a stop light) I have no problem. Only in heavy stop and go traffic do i have problems.

While driving in heavy traffic my 260 starts sputtering. At first i thought maybe it was a cooling problem, but my gauges all read cool. This only happens at idle or near idle in usually warmer weather. I have 71' SUs. Any suggestions? Thanx
  8. Yea, im confused how an ignition switch would fix the problem. My car liked to diesel until I dropped its idle abt 250rpm and that was the end of it. If you turn off the key and the thing sputters it should be a predetination(sp?) problem. If it were an ignition problem then the dern thing wouldnt spark OR you'd turn off the key and the dern thing would run until you unpluged your distributor or coil! But hey, these cars to the craziest things.
  9. looks great... now about that nose...
  10. I just hope they take out that damned trunk, i mean do they really NEED a trunk in a sports car????? I just think its freakin' unneccesary.
  11. Z fan or no Z fan, the fact still is that that rear end looks like a sedan's its like sentra's or something.
  12. Did I get you right did you say "instead of the 300ZX"?!? Comeon the 300zx was designed so well, too bad they made it too expensive and luxurious too keep profits. The fact still remains that the 350Z's arse is too big and its mouth sits too low, the mouth needs to start immediatly were it meets the hood and it then has to end earlier. Just look at a 240-280Z with an air damn you'll see how completely wrong they got the opening. Now it looks something like Honda's S2000. Very unfortunate.
  13. Where can I go to find vinyl interior replacements for my rear strut towers
  14. If i were you I would avoid a stock or near stock antenna for a 240z. The problem is that you must manually push an "up" button to raise the antenna and a "down" to lower it. I would go for an automatic antenna from a car parts shop like Autozone or something, because, believe me, having to press a button to raise your antenna as a real pain.
  15. Okay okay it is an ugly toad, but an ugly toad on speed.
  16. It's look is a little off, but according to R&T newest test drive it really is a great preformer, and preformance is what really drives the sports car market.
  17. My brother is currently restoring a 1978 late model 280Z, which mean that almost all his part are NON-interchangeable with the left over parts from my dad's 240Z racecar and my 260Z restoration. My brother is in need of a driver side door for his late model '78 280Z so if anyone could help him/us that would be great. Please e-mail me replies. Thanx.
  18. DO you have any good seats?? Mine are all torn and the foam is coming out so I can't by a kit (nor do I want to spend $300 for one).
