  1. I'm fine and Kharma is as beautiful as ever. I had to buff G6 paint out of my bumper and clean off headlight glass. Needless to say, Kharma and I came out of it much better that the G6 girl did. She was scared of how much trouble she was going to be in. "My dad just bought me this car a week ago!" I told her the same thing, "what matters most is that you're okay" And believe me, the G6 didn't look very good. It could have been much worse.

Wheels like these. I think that would be cool to have similar wheels on both cars. I've been searching for these wheels ever since I discovered them last night and to no avail. This is getting frustrating. If the offset was different, I'd just steal them from the DeLorean.

Help me find these wheels. I am in love and will settle for nothing other than these wheels. Does anyone know who the vendor is? Are they factory? What is the story???

  6. I like the verts that you guys posted much better than the one I found. I think the yellow one was my favorite. What a great amount of work that must have been! Wow! I wanna shake that guy's hand!
  7. It's really funny because the guys at work joke about stealing my Z and cutting the top off. I'm not going to drive the car for a month then take them this pic and say "See what I did!" And they are all going to cry because deep inside they love my Z.

Well, I have a lot to do before I go. I'm hoping I can still make it. I have valve stem seals to change and a few other small things to do. Not to mention I've never done a valve job before. It will take me a little longer. I also have a security system to install. But anyway, I will let you guys know what I decide to do and maybe we can all get together. :D:D

I'm going to Tennessee the first week of October to celebrate my 21st by doing the Dragon's Tail in the Z. Has any one ever been? How was it? Where to stay? Anything else I should see? I'm really excited about this. I really need to get away from my life here in Indiana. I love Indiana but I need a break. I need to see something beautiful and get myself lost.

Okay, let's see them. I want to see everybody's one best picture of their favorite Z. Here's mine so far.
  13. EScanlon: I have heard this before and dind't take it seriously. However, the only times the car has done something like this to me was when I left my wallet in the car unattended. For example, yesterday, I pulled the car out onto the driveway and left money in her. I had a second thought but only had a little more than a 20 in my wallet at the time. So I didn't think it was a big deal. And ten minutes down the road... there she goes. It's nice to know the lock cylinder might be repairable. I can already start the car with any key or even a screwdriver. So I just as soon thought it was shot. We sell them where I work but they are ugly and don't look original. I've already purchased a new slave cylinder and will be replacing it tomorrow. I love my car far too much to take a break from her. Thanks guys!
  14. I would so buy a t-shirt with your art on it. Sell it on CafePress.com. That would be awesome!!!
  15. So I was driving down the road enjoying my awesome car. I stopped at a sign and continued on. Once I took my car out of first, I could not get her to go into second. She just made that aweful ratcheting sound. It was then I noticed that I had no pressure in my clutch pedal. So here we are rolling down the road in first. I pulled over to see what was going on and noticed I had no fluid in my clutch master cylinder. I followed the line to the slave cylinder, which was soaking wet and dripping. The boot was entirely gone. And I was about 15 miles from home. So I put the car in first and started it. Once I got going, I could shift without using the pedal. The only hard part was stopping and starting again. I had to shut the car off (otherwise she would die anyway) and restart it. In doing so, the lock cylinder (which already needed to be replaced) got itself stuck in the "start" position forcing me to shut the car off and keep restarting it until it didn't stick. It's needless to say she's going away for a while. She needs valve stem seals pretty bad on two of her cylinders, the ignition lock and now a slave. I think I need a break from my Z. At least until I get paid again. So all in all, it's been a pretty bad day. Wish me luck.
  16. I meant in general when I think about quick ways to gain horsepower as opposed to applying it to my Z. I noticed there is almost 1/4 inch of play from one section of the linkage to another. I think there was supposed be bushings in between them. My throttle response was always delayed. ...and that sucks. (Matt )

Oh honey, your post is a knife in my heart. I can't even imagine the horror of losing the best friend I have in my Z. It will be such an exciting moment when we all can read you're post about your new S30!!!

She's even more beautiful than she was before...
  19. I never considered the fuel pump. I did notice how much faster the car moves now. It just seems to respond quicker. However, I did discover that the butterfly in the throttle isn't opening all the way. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the throttle linkage so that she can breathe better?

I have a lot of things that don't belong to my car (at least not that I know of). I think one of her past owners also had other z's

  24. I'm working on it right now (breaking for a cigarette). Everything is going very well. I removed all my AC components (because, although it works great, I dont use it and have no interest in keeping it. Also it gives me a whole lot more room to work with.) I am very happy with the ease in which this project is providing me. I am mostly surprised that not a thing fought with me (as opposed to working on the Delorean or any of my other cars for that matter.) So besides being hot, sweaty and dirty, all is going well. I'm going to try this electric fan thing and if for some reason I don't like it, I will let you know. Thanks for all the help. I'll get back with the results of this project very shortly. Thanks again!
  25. I am replacing the broken fan clutch on my Z to a 14" electric fan. I haven't even broken into the project yet, but I just wanted to know, any tips? You know, little things that might make my life easier? Hints, tricks? Anything I should know? Thanks for your help.
