Hello dhoneycutt, 240/260 till 74 have 51mm on the outside 260/280 from 75 have 56mm on the outside. I'll hope this helps Rainer
  5. Thanks for all you feedback. @Gave 240Z The foto is from my car, a 260z from 75(Build in 74, but I don't know if some one swapped the schaft before. I expect, that the circlips is under the cap. Or did someone see a clip on the outside on a datsun shaft as well ? I will order some and try. Cheers Rainer

Yes indeed it was a really joy ride. And the language was no problems at all. We did ton's of jokes about the differnt nationalities. Realy funny . Right now it's quite hot here in germany, so it will takes some more time to sort out all the pictures and videos. My suspension was a bit too hard and low for this ride, and it took 3600km to find out, that the springs between front and rear were swapped. Cheers Rainer

  8. Thanks kmack, Can I use the standard Joints set (with rings) ? If yes, how do I adjust the play ? Only with stop pressing in the rigth moment. cheers Rainer
  9. Hello Mperdue, Yes you are rigth. But that's the reason why I trust on the club's experience. And when there is no experience with swapping here, It tells me don't do or try it. Thanks Rainer
  10. O.K, next question before I destroy my half-schafts, I would like to know if I can replace these one's. All the books say yes, but I don't know the history of swapping parts of my car. Do I only have to pull out the cap above the bearing seat, to reach the spring ring ? Thanks in advance Rainer
  11. Thanks for all your help so far. This was allready clear, but still I don't know, if the wide calliper will work with the standard disc too ? Due to the stroke of the piston I guess it will work only with new pads. Or? When I buy the small one, I have no chance to upgrade them in the future. And selling them again here in europe, will be hard. Guus, send me a PM about the price. Cheers Rainer
  12. Hi Frank13 that's what I did one day long. But there is no clear information if the big caliper will work with non vented disc ? Any ideas ? Rainer
  13. Hello to all, my plan is to upgrade my front caliper. Only which one should I order for street use ? I use allready the biggest brake booster. Is it possible to use the vented caliper with standard non vented disk ?. Than I will be open for the future. If not, I would go for the non vented caliper's. Thanks for you feedback in advance. Rainer
  14. Thanks for all your feedback, I replaced my bushings and tie rod ends too. For me it looks like inline6 discribed. There is only the question if new nissan ball joint will make a differnce. Even here in europe it will be a quite expensive test. Cheers Rainer
  15. Hello to all, e few weeks ago I replaced my balljoints. But my steering wheels still shakes by a certain speed. I filled them up with fresh grease. Today I jacked up my car, to feel the bearing play. In vertical direction there was no play. But in horizontal direction there was much play on both sides. I could see, that the play is under the grommet. When I lift the car down, the play feels normal. Is this caused by a conical construction without spring load ? The balljoints, are made in taiwan. Thanks for all your shared expirience Rainer

Hi friends, mine was not working too,oil didn't help. But replacing the capacitors on the print solve the problem. They were too old and weak. It will cost you 1 $. After this you must recalibrate the time with a external supply. Good luck Rainer
