72 Air Cleaner Fasteners
They are no longer available from Nissan. If you are lucky you might find some at a dealer in a dusty old bin or take the offer to get them used from someone else.

Bryan, Thanks for compliment. Finding a good painter is not easy. I have heard many horror stories about bad jobs, shop going BK and cars being held for rent payment etc. So good luck with it. Bob

Dash Removal Help
Did you check the ones that hold the lower center dash by the radio? I think you already noted the ones on the lower sides of the dash. Be sure to disconnect the heater/defroster cables if you haven't done so. You will also have the main wiring harness connectors behind the glove box on the extreme right side of the dash. That is usually a tight fit to disconnect them. If you haven't done so it is also a good idea to mark all the wires for easier connection when you go back in. Good Luck.

Thu October 11, 2007 03:11 Ron, Thanks for the comments. Here is a brief history about the car. It is the 3rd 240 that I have owned. I found it 6 years ago in CA and it had been painted as you see it today. After owning it for a short while I decided to restore it. The restoration, done by myself in my garage, included replacing the dash and carpets on the interior, completely redoing the underside and completely reworking the engine bay. The smog system was none existent, the list of incorrect parts is long and extensive. I have really enjoyed the hunt in finding the correct OEM parts. Every part is OE and not aftermarket. Thank God for eBay and many other resources both here and in Japan. I have spent countless hours detailing everything. I could go on and on regarding the overall restoration. The car is driven. While living in So Cal I spent alot of time on the 405 going to cruises, shows and Z club functions. Thanks again for the comments. If I can answer any other questions feel free to PM me or post it here. Regards, Bob
