Wheels...
The wheels that came on my 73 when I bought it are chrome 15x6 or 7 steelies. The only mark on them is a 'GM' stamp on the back. I'll try to remember to measure them when I get home for you. They'd prolly look pretty good in black with stickys.

My lights suck.
Agreed. You can take it apart and clean the contacts/make sure they're mating properly. With a search, you should be able to follow a stepbystep with pics.

"New" wheels
I'm open to gallery comments... The front bumper is fiberglass and I kinda like the black (except that it doesnt match the rear) I dont like the look of the door guards at all but I'm afraid there are attachment holes in the doors. Are these double sided taped on or the old 'poke a hole in 'em' style from the factory. Thanks for all the compliments guys.

"New" wheels
One of my datsun's previous owners painted the wheels silver which looked ok for a while. While doing a toyota brake upgrade I noticed some chrome under the paint. Decided to soak the rims with aeresol paint remover and there were beautiful, new chrome rims underneath. I'm not huge on chrome rims but I'm liking the look on the z. Just like to share my excitement with you guys.

No Spark
Called up Pertronix and they emailed me a couple procedures to test the ignitor unit and coil. Ignitor came up bad so I ordered a new one. Got it in today and she fired right up. As for not having spark while cranking, It works now but I dont think it was the Ignitor causing that. Hopefully it wont come back to haunt me... I appreciate the help!

My Z in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine
Thats great man! Gotta go find an issue. Hadnt read one in a lil while but its def a great 'zine.

No Spark
I checked the resistance of my mallory coil and it was a bit lower than what the factory manual recommends. I think I may have fried the ignitor while temporarily bypassing my resistor. Waiting on a call back from pertronix to see if there is a way to test the ignitor. Might end up going to points if they're significantly cheaper.

No Spark
Just disassembled the dist and it is infact a pertronix ignitor unit with mallory coil and factory(appearing) resistor. Rewiring to pertronix instructions but not sure how to test any of these or if a resistor is recommended/required. I have good 12v from ign wire when key is in on position.

No Spark
After doing some research on pertronix website, its looks almost, if not identical to one of their units. It has a pickup sensor and a round piece mounted to the dist shaft. Then there are two wires off the sensor that run to the engine bay wiring. Just looked at the sensor and it has a sticker reading 460-12 on it. Not sure if there is a way to test this. Sorry no pics, my camera is MIA. Hope this info helps.
